Sorry, wareagle, I gotta disagree with your take that Old Style is the worst beer out there. I don't drink much domestic beer, but if I can find Old Style when I'm out and about, I'll drink that. I started drinking Old Style in college in the early 80s because you could buy a 6 pack of Tall Boys for 99 cents-- a case of tall boys was 4 bucks!! Back then we were obviously drinking for the buzz, and if we could find something that was half as cheap as the Bud that we had been drinking, we were all for it.
Thing is, since Pabst bought Old Style its no longer brewed in La Crosse (hey, djv!) I swear the taste is different than it used to be-- and the price went up 20%, too....
Its the beer of Chicago and its still a huge sponsor of the Chicago Cubs on the radio and at Wrigley Field-- but instead of it being sold in the stands like when Harry was still alive, you have to go down to the concession stands to get it.
I think the worst beer I've ever drank is Rhinelander-- that chit is nasty....
Red, White and Welfare, er.. Red, White and Blue is quite nasty as well....Schlitz, Pabst and Stroh's ain't nothing to write home about, either.......
