Haha fletch. Actually, years back when I visted a buddy in Albacrappie NM we went to a club there and a lady danced to "The Vampire Song" Oh boy! I would say overall they are my favorite band so I know all the songs. That cracked Kiwi Anders likes them too!

Juice--

NOW you are talking 80s tunes. Musical Youth? English Beat? OUTSTANDING!

How 'bout Squeeze, Echo and the Bunnymen or Culture Club as other 80s U.K. bands?

So many 80s bands from the states, too.

Replacements
Husker Du
Black Flag
Dead Kennedys
Soul Asylum
R.E.M.
Bad Brains
and many, many more......

Boy, You guys sure know how to make a guy feel old. Of all the groups and songs you mentioned above I had heard of "none' of them. Not one. Believe it or not I am kind of an old hippie, but I guess the emphasis now has to be on the old.

Oh, wait a minute. I have heard of one of them . . . Jessie's Girl. Cool song.

Well, I think I will crawl back in my grave and not come out until after midnight.

Snake, I like that song a bit. Another song I really like in that manner is "Real Men Don't Eat Coyotes" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Another song I thought of which is more serious and more in tune with what is going on today is "Dogs Of War" by Pink Floyd ('87)

JT......The Call had a great tune called "When the Walls Come Down" also if you know KROQ, do you remember "I Wanna Have Sex With YOu" by Tonio K.? Great tune, they used to play it on KROQ when I lived there in '87. And you can't forget SAGA and 'On The Loose'

Any metalheads here? love that crunching thunderous sound of metallica ,nothing like it. The emergence of Ozzy with randy rhodes on guitar, what a sound. Those were the best days, music that moved you.

Keyser, yes I remember that Call song. Great tune. Only station I ever hear Call tunes are on Jim Ladd's KLOS show which is the best Radio Show around. Of course he won't play any of those wacky new wave songs some of us like. But love his format. The other song doesn't ring a bell but perhaps if I heard it. Thing I remember most about KROQ and/or New Wave in general was there were songs I absolutely detested and stuff I really liked.

(Yawn) Like some of Ozzy's stuff. Much more than some of those late 80's crap metal bands but did like some of Whitesnake, Crue and Scorpions. Hell, I remember liking a couple of songs from that one CD from the Firm and Asia. Not really metal though. There is music in all forms that I like from country to soul. Anyone else remember that great rap song "White Lines"?

"Get higher baby, get higher baby and don't ever come down...FREEBASE!" Lmao! Should go back to sleep now.
