Wow everyone. I can't tell you how much I and especially Kristyn appreciate the outpouring of support. To Brent, Jack, Jon, Vinnie, Chad and all those that have called and texted I am sorry I haven't been able to respond to them as of yet but I will.
Even the people that I have had a fun run in or two with such as Bucs and such I want you to all know that I appreciate the support and kind words.
Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of good news to update about other than Kristyn is scheduled for her third reconstructive surgery on her face. The number of breaks and fractures has definitely limited the doctor's ability to everything at once. It is hard to look at my little girl now and know that any innocence of womanhood has been ripped from her. She has handled the situation far better than I and remains upbeat and positive. Her prognosis is very positive for a full recovery in time and cosmetic surgeons are geniuses any more.
My Mother has arrived and is staying with me as I haven't left her side yet and needed fresh clothes and such. Her arms, legs, jaw have all been pinned or plated now and are healing. She only has a little drain tube now rather than being flayed open like she was and all internal bleeding was identified and stopped. The bruising on her midsection is brutal and makes me cry as I type this.
Again I want to thank all of you for your wonderful and uplifting prayers and thoughts. The worst part is over and the best is yet to come.
I have been informed that he/it will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and the prosecution is seeking a capital sentence. I will be testifying at his sentencing hearing. I don't know what kind of closure any of that will give anyone but I do know that in a short time I will get to hug my daughter again and I now know how it is far to easy to forget to do that every day and every chance that I get. I won't make that mistake again.
