A couple of Saturday bets for me.

McDermott to beat Bendall at +180. I think McDermott is a pretty good English level fighter. His only loss was to Elcock in one of those bogus headclash, stop the fight on a cut British rules and I thought he was handling Elcock until the clash of heads.

Skelton/McIntosh/Gonzalez/Nietes Parlay pay's double.

I don't think I will bet on the big fights as nothing jumps out.
I believe John and JMM will both win on points but I am not confidant enough to bet on it.

I'll take me some McDermott as well
I thought he was getting to Elcock before that crap stoppage
I would be surprised if Bendall wins this

I also got a German/England parlay
Murat/Hernandez/Broadburst
2 to win 1

I grabbed Marquez by decision at the greek yesterday at +175, thats a good line IMO, but I'm very unsure about the result, do you think I should go and find a hedge opportunity!?

I just cant seem to get any momentum going.

I played Banks and Judah (by decision), nothing major, I knew both would more than likely lose, but I was hoping that Johnsson age or Adameks wars would be a factor... :violin:

John made weight, if he's ok, I expect him to win a decision, the line is not too bad...

I'm joining you guys on McDermot. Don't know much about the guy but the play looks solid. Shit, bodog had the line +250...they have since pulled it. I have it +180 small med play...good luck!

Romi I don't understand why Bendall is such a big favorite here
I saw the fight weepaul is talking about, and McDermott got screwed by that British cut rule

I think people look at boxrec and see he was stopped in 2 by Elcock, but that is far from the case

articles:
http://www.expressandstar.com/2009/02/25/wait-nearly-over-for-macca/

http://www.stourbridgenews.co.uk/sport/4154443.Macca_in_title_hunt/

this fight starts early....about 3 or 4 hours from now

Bendell looks to be mediocre at best. I think we have a good shot here. Thx for the tip! I added a med play on detweiler over-240.

"the bunker"
mcdermott it is....i`ll tail our european brothers on this one...hopefully mcdermott has a chip after that elcock misfortune...

a little worrisome being that bendall is a southpaw and another cut is a possibility..crazy cut rule the brits have there...but bendall looked like someone took a razor to his face after the smith win...he may be the one getting cut...

could turn into a bloodbath..

elcock apparently whacked bendall previously...

NJ it's for the BRITISH Middlewight Title, how can the UK books not carry it?
Makes no sense.

Here's another article that actually says McDermott is looked at as the favorite in England.

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/co...02/13/bendall-s-secret-weapon-92746-22921810/

Congrats to those who got anything above +200...
I grabbed it twice at 5dimes +220 last night.
line is down to +150 now
I think we have a good one here guys

Win or lose, had to play this
This guy should not be the underdog

Jumping on board the McDermott express. Strictly a tail job all he way, but since guys seem to be doing their homework, I'll bite.

"the bunker"
http://www.fightwriter.com/?q=node/1705

graham`s take on the elcock/mcdermott fight...he thought that mcdermott was very live in this fight....his odds at the top actually reflected mcfermott as a slight fave(maybe the venue?...even though he picked elcock in a tough fight)........and elcock stopped bendall previously..

/lots of old,useless info provided...lol

btw...bendall interview after the smith fight....face looks a tad worse for wear.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DX-afrmaLKA

what he said?...i have no idea...

I remember watching the fight when it aired
and thinking "Wow, Elcock seems very happy that cut occurred"

McDermott was coming on strong
Bendell is getting a ton of credit for beating Paul Smith from the Contender
Paul Smith sucks

I repeat....I will be quite surprised if Bendell wins this
This will be my biggest bet today

I'm more confident here than I am in Juan Diaz or JMM
I will probably play small on the Baby Bull for the odds and the hometown advantage

Good luck everyone

Ruiz named WBA mandatory!

The World Boxing Association Championship Committee has declared two-time WBA heavyweight champion John ?The Quietman? Ruiz (43-8-1, 29 KOs), presently rated No. 3, as the mandatory challenger for the winner of this year?s Ruslan Chagaev-Nicolai Valuev WBA title fight.

had to post this from fightnews
The WBA...trying to single-handedly bury the sport of boxing
What is the deal with these Ruiz-Valuev-Chagaev fights?
For the love of god, save us from this garbage!

Steeds quits with an injury

"Hernandez vs. Steed: Steed has apparently for a strike on the left elbow hurt. He shake his head and signaled his coach, that it does not continue.

Hernandez vs. Steed: The victory has earned Hernandez, even though there is no classical Ko, but "only a technical co. The Cubans celebrating his 18th victory."

1 down, many to go today !
