If ya watched closely U would have saw the coaches meet a mid field and U can see Wannstedt saying I didnt mean for that to happen I wasnt trying to rub it in ur face...check it out...no those words arent exactly what they said but by the body language it is evident...A fix LMAO their is no such thing as a fix in the NFL....too much $ in incentives for that to happen and in the salaries

Fix? LOL....in the NFL? Gimme a break. With a combined salary of almost a quarter billion dollars between the two teams, I would say it would take a pretty hefty chunk o' change to throw a total.

there is no fix just bush plays, but bottom line is colts killed themself way before that. don't know about off shore but most places here got hammered all day on miami and over so vegas wasnot thrilled either.but that is sports for each thing that happens to you like this and it did me ,you get just as many breaks in other games. you just remeber the bad things and the good things you just blow off saying well thats how i played it.

i didn't play tonight but I can say there are a few fishy things in the nfl. This one may not have been fixed tonight but some games are. just think of how much money goes into these games, especially monday night. think about it. IT can and has happened. All it takes is one guy to blow his coverage or a ref to keep the clock running for a few extra seconds to blow an over. it sounds stupid guys, but the one thing we cherish so much in this world is money, and I will leave it at that. Go ahead and takes your shots at me, Im open for opinions

I think a few too many have been watching too many of Oliver Stone films. Cracks me up when some people scream FIXED, when an unusual chain of events take place in a particular sporting event. When I start thinking about this subject, I always come back to this conclusion. Who would risk employment, millions of salary dollars, public humiliation, & lucrative endorsements, etc...etc...etc... ? Most of these athletes make well over a 7 figure salary on an annual basis. why would some wealthy sports figure be involved in some fix that'll probably put a couple grand in Johnny's pocket that owns the pool hall down the street. Never mind all the complexities that would be involved in orchestrating something of this magnitude. Don't ya think at least one numbnuts would have gotten caught by now?

If ya had a couple of days, I could give you some insight as to what the selection process involves regarding the choosing of NFL officials. The screening issues these fellas have to go through is unbelievable. They also have their entire background checked by gov't officials. Some say it's easier to get a federal judgeship appointment than it is to become an official in the NFL.

It's perplexing to say the least...

Well put Neemer...totally agree....it wasnt a fix but just some colts who couldnt stop a RB who got sttod up but saw the endzone and scored his first TD of his career...these backups R looking to show desire and enthusiasm and he is wanting to keep his job....tell me ur gonna make millions and then settle for a few hundred thousand on a fix..NOT

I found the Jimmy Jones interview to be interesting.

Especially his comments about the current caliber/quality of play...guys not putting it on the line week after week.

When you have a Rhodes Scholar like Randy Moss saying things like, "I play when I want to play", that's an open invitation to outside influences to start whispering things in his ear.

Stranger: "Hey Randy, how much is 3 + 3?"

Moss: "It's 4."

Stranger: "Randy, you da' man."

this game aside, if anyone thinks there is no fixing going on in sports, you better get that letter to santa out early.

and don't forget the stamp (is the north pole overseas mail?)!!!

this has been talked about many times on these forums: the defensive pass interference call or intentional pass interference, the critical defensive penalty on 3rd and long (sure long pass), the defensive penalty on critical 4th downs. grabbing masks at the wrong time, etc. the list is extensive.

not to mention the bad snap on a fg try, the dropped passes, fumbles, a coach's approach to a particular game (inside info worth a lot).

then you have the motivations:

the snorter or gambler who owes a ton of dough, regardless of income. sexual or moral blackmail. and probably the most common: the guy who likes to have some extra "cash" in his pocket.

the justification for any of these "errors" is that "nobody gets hurt". it's not like you are comitting a crime, is it?

how many people do you need for a fix? one is more than enough to shave a line or even turn a game around.

that is the main reason why no game, no dog, no horse, no anything, is a lock.

Anymore, I don't doubt that ANYTHING is possible, but I have a very very hard time believing so much as one single player on either team paid the first bit of attention to how many points need to be scored for the game to go over. Don't have the any numbers on it, but I'd bet number of overs and unders for the year, league-wide, is right about 50/50??? Is an under fixed, too, when a team plays good defense or goes against a crap offense?? Obviously the Indy D flat-out SUCKS (probably the worst in the NFL) and that had a large part in why the game went over, no??? 41 points given up last night....39 vs. Baltimore...41 vs. San Fran? Come to think of it, maybe Peyton Manning bets the over every week? LOL The guy does throw an INT that is returned for a TD (or close) EVERY SINGLE WEEK!?!? Guess ya never know for absolute certain....but I still highly doubt it.

With respect to NFL player's salaries being a deterrent to dishonesty -
Bam Morris couldn't have been dealing drugs.
Tamarick Vanover couldn't have been stealing cars.
Etc. etc.;-)

been following the dolphins since im a little kid ...
went through every bump on the road with them
just thought i could give some insight here

the dolphins wanted to end with the ball ...the fans deserved it
it was our first game this year that we actually blew someone out throughout thegame
they were just running the ball and ending the game
if the colts had a drop of pride that would have been a one yard run
but hell i was at the game and loved every minute of it
so im not gonna complain ...just saying that most people in the stadium (non bettors) agreed with the call
regular football decision

as to their salaries stopping them from rigging a game
that is ludicrous
i dont know if there are fixes or not
i dont think so
but the last thing that would sto pit is the fact that theyre happy with their money
for a million different reasons
starting with greed
and eneding withthe fact that most players burn more than they get
