Incorrect. We know how to beat the flu now. Too bad there are too many selfish assholes out there to be bothered with wearing a mask periodically. Is wearing a mask that hard? I really don?t get it.

Exactly. Instead of realizing that we've learned how to prevent the flu, these guys bitch about it disappearing and claiming that it's now just lumped in with COVID. These clowns that can't handle wearing masks during a national health crisis are the biggest pussies on the planet.

We know how to beat the flu. I never thought that would be in my lifetime. It?s unfathomable. Oh well, business as usual soon, and Huge flu numbers again for 21/22. Only kills those poor bastards at the nursing home anyway, right? I?ll be back to wearing the trash bags and N-95s/respirators soon.

The flu does not kill a lot of people every year, BUT it IS a huge burden on the healthcare system. There are also millions of lost work/school days every flu season that make things difficult.

you all are definitely on to something - maybe we should just sew a mask on every human at birth, imagine the sicknesses we could avoid then!!

oh, and let?s outlaw driving too - we could definitely save some lives there - let?s see, what else

maybe just outlaw people from leaving their homes? that sounds safe - some ppl die in bike riding accidents, so let?s get rid of bicycles as well

you all?s attitude is exactly why ppl didn?t want to wear masks in the 1st place - wear masks during flu season???? my god man do you all really hear yourselves talk?

At least you're being rationale.

Imagine if people took this lesson seriously and when they had even mild flu symptoms, they wore a mask out in public. Imagine people doing the same when someone they have been in contact with has the flu.

Doctors used to scoff at the notion of washing their hands before seeing a new patient. Changing that mindset revolutionized modern medicine.

btw, you are calling me irrational while you suggest worldwide mask usage for all humans for over half the year for the rest of time - let that sink in for a second

keep up the solid work yyz, you?re doing a whale of a job

I'm traumatized though. I have another appointment tomorrow to help me deal with the horror of putting a mask on a couple times a day. The shame I feel when I know I look frail and scared to the people who are brave enough to not wear these ridiculous masks.

You're from Louisiana, so you can understand. Just like the pussies who board up their windows, and run to higher ground when a hurricane is closing in. Weak, stupid people. I mean, shit! No one's at the beaches! It's a perfect time for the strong to enjoy it.

wearing a mask during flu season is akin to boarding up the windows and heading for higher ground due to a forecast of light drizzle, but nice try

if it were up to you all, my kids wouldn't have gone to camp last summer, much less have gone to school since August

College and NFL football wouldn't have been played (no sports would have been played for that matter)

No businesses would be open

The world would still be shut down completely

Now people are getting vaccinated and already get the flu vaccine (if they want it) and you all are calling for what basically amounts to a permanent mask mandate

And you still want to believe that you're sane and others are delusional????????

I don?t think Anyone is calling for a permanent mask mandate, it?s just the way to beat the cold and flu. It would be nice for those who are feeling ill to wear it, for example up north during a normal fall through spring well up here let?s just call that entire stretch winter you see people hacking, coughing, sneezing all about with no masks, no hand washing or sanitizing but maybe NOW that we have gone through this people will be more apt to say, ?I should wear a mask? we would have a much better cold and flu season going forward.

In the future during flu season it would be nice if those who feel ill or were near someone who did have it started wearing a mask for a moderate period of time. It's called common courtesy for the assholes on this thread.

I was referring to this one.....

Imagine if people took this lesson seriously and when they had even mild flu symptoms, they wore a mask out in public. Imagine people doing the same when someone they have been in contact with has the flu.

That's the one that you equated to me calling for a worldwide mask mandate for half the year. Seems like a bit of a stretch, no?
