"the bunker"
coco-lite multi-grain popcakes..

http://www.cocofoods.com/index.html

a friend mentioned these to me and i found them at my local grocery....i tried the maui onion and it was actually pretty good....

if you`re trying to cut back on bread ....or like pizza but don`t like all the salt and the sugar and carbs, you might want to give these a look-see..... it`s not a nutritional powerhouse(but, have you checked the ingredients in bread...salt,carbs and preservatives/additives?)...

seems like a decent little idea for those trying to knock off a few pounds and keep the blood pressure in check...

it`s popped rice/wheat/corn and a little sea salt...tastes better than just plain ricecakes....

1 cake/piece

Total Fat 0g
Cholesterol 0mg
Sodium 5mg
Total Carbohydrate 4g
Dietary Fiber 0g
Sugars 0g
Protein 0g

4 grams of carbs is roughly 2% of the daily allowance for a man....

you don`t have to change your entire lifestyle, but,if you`re looking to get back on track and knock a few holiday pounds off, this might be some temporary help...

They taste like the rice cakes. I ordered 4 packages and they sent me 12. I'm gonna have to find some low cal type topping for these things. Looks like Smuckers sugar free jams will work. 4 of these and a tablespoon of Smuckers on each will be a nice 100 cal breakfast with my coffee in the morning. :0003

was just curious as I DEFO need to cut carbs ... but like you, rice cakes suck and by the time you add "flavor" it defeats the purpose :mj07:

a little tuna w/lettuce is good for a high protein snack(make a sandwich out of it...use some lite mayo)...you can also use some relatively low sodium pizza sauce with 2%/fat free/part-skim cheese(i use mozzarella and a part-skim 4 cheese mix)....throw it in the micro(not the oven).......

also excelllent with low fat peanut butter to give you a little energy before doing something arduous...

i like the onion flavor...rice cakes are too brittle....these have more of a popcorn consistency,imo...

jack...if you`re looking to cut back, try eggbeaters or some other egg white product...spray a little pam in a small frying pan and mix in some onions and green peppers...when you turn them over, put some cheese on top and if you like bacon, sprinkle em with some bacon bits when they`re done...i`m sure your local grocery store carries sodium free(or low sodium)/fat free hash browns...ore ida makes them...

fry a few of them up with it..........

one more thing...if you have to have something sweet when you`re cutting back, try a kind bar with a glass of milk.....i particularly like the cherry cashew.....tastes pretty good...you get some chocolate... it`s 9 grams of fat(only 2 saturated) and has some vitamins and minerals(which you probably aren`t getting enough of if you`re cutting back).....

i also keep a box of sugar free popsicles on hand....

I'm good with everything I'm eating just looking for some variety. For my sweets I eat those Skinny Cow ice cream bars. 100 calories and I'm good to go :0074

Frozen fruit bars are good too and, of course, yogurt. I'm really into those Greek yogurts. Good stuff.

Then salad damn near everyday, chicken, fish, you know the drill.

Only beer I have is Saturday.

Just getting off what bad habits put on last year.

Working outside the home had me eating fast food, sweets to excess, fried shit, subs, pizza, beer every night after work, you name it.

No, I won't be having time for walking once good weather hits, I'll be running all over from 7am to 8pm, M-S.

I hope. :0008
