What a hard-nosed performance by Verkerk. 8-6 in 5 sets, wow. This guy is probably the best server around, and certainly has a good shot against Coria, most likely as a juicy doggie. I'm not convinced the Mosquito will have an easy time with Gonzo. Also, I see Costa being exposed by the upstart Robredo. In summary, I'm betting Gonzo over JC and Robredo over Costa tomorrow. Then Verkerk over Coria.

June 4th Picks
------------------

Scale 100-500

Fernando Gonzalez beat Ferrero $3.50 *200

Alberto Costa beat Tommy Robredo $1.85 *350

I think everybody and their mother will be on Robredo....but let's not forget Costa won here last year and looked mighty impressive his last match..........plus Robredo has had two long matches and two very impressive wins.....I see him getting physically tired AND to have a "letdown"...........I'm sure I'll be the only one on Costa but hey.....I said my piece :D

As for Gonzalez.......strctly a value play....the price is just toooooo good to pass up........plus Ferrero is due for a bad match.....I mean he can't keep ripping guys off the court now can he  :D

I dont see how Coria and Ferrero get beat before they meet each other in the final. Coria is playing unbelievable, and has been my cash cow this year. But I think Ferrero gets the job done this year with no real big threat left. Coria is definatly talented enough to beat him....but there is always something to be said for "dues" Ferrero has paid his dues and the title will be his this year.

With that being said.....I am making a huge bet on Ferrero to beat Gonzalez tomorrow.

A smaller bet on Robredo over Costa for me also. Costa didnt play good tennis before Roland Garros and hasnt really played dominating tennis in the tournament. He did have a nice match last time out, but I am not convinced. Robredo is playing on a super-high right now. He could have a letdown, but I think that Robredo can beat this form of Costa with his "B"game. This one should be close, but it is Robredo's turn to shine.

verkerk is playing great tennis....well he is serving great tennis. but one big thing.....coria aint moya. moya played better than i expected, but he still came into this tournament in mediocre form. verkerk is catching the hottest player in the world on clay, and coria returns serves better than anyone in the world (according to the stats) i think the ride is over for verkerk and i will bet that one pretty large

robredo is out of gas........and the tank is completely empty. i guess i cant get pissed about this one. costa is a man possessed. i never figured that a guy that seemed so out of shape only a couple months ago against rafael nadal is in the best shape of his career. this guy never gives up, which is something that cant be said about 80% of the players out there.

Robredo hit the wall. He had a break point leading 2 sets love and a chance to go up 3-0 in the third set, but missed it and faded badly from there. I still have future action on Gonzalez and Verkerk -- keeping fingers crossed.

ferrero 6/24 on BPs while Gonzalez is 4/6. I've been ice cold the last 3 days...worst 3 days i've had in over a year...in all sports..i've gota future play and a parlay play on Ferrero. Going to a 5th set, I can already write this down as a loss. Unreal.
