Gambling question / handicapper vs handicapper. Opinions wanted

Gambler A has been hitting at 55% of his games from start of baseball season and is up 13 units. Gambler B is hitting 39% in same time frame and is down 60 units. Gambler B challenges gambler A in a $1,000 contest for the last two months of season with a clean slate. Should Gambler A take the bet?

I think taking the wager is independent of the records from the first part of the season. Two months of a baseball season is too short of a slate to think it would or would not reflect recent winning percentages.

If $1000 is anywhere near your normal wagering unit and over whatever you feel is the long haul you have been at least as good of a handicapper than your potential opponent then sure, why not? But, if this is significantly higher than your normal wager or comfort zone and you are basing this on recent results (both his and yours) then I think you could find better places to put that wager.

I would say it depends on if Gambler A believes in streaks or not. If he does then he should take the bet. But maybe he thinks gambler B is due. Then he should not take the bet.

at least thats above min wage... ...... Both sides must have made equal # of plays to win . As usual you people have a low opinion of professional gamblers.. You probably don't think they exist......u must think every one is a dart thrower.........we don't work for chump change...

In any form of risk you {if you have a clue} you want your play to be as close to certainty as possible...and you still lose sometimes because of unpredictable unforeseen events occurring. I'll give ya 1.. Craps!!!!!!! in 10,000 rolls after 4 4's or 4 10's without a seven how many times do you think there will be a 5th 4 or 10... Ya wanna buy investment property.. where shd you buy???? In a low income area or a university community where you will probably be 100% rented forever .... zero vacancies.. ..

Gambler A won't take the bet cause he said gambler B has a more likely chance to get hot and win over the final 2 months. Gambler a also stated he isn't going to pay gambler b for beating him the final two months when he would have lost for the season, but gambler a will take all challenges in in any sport to start the season. Gambler A is being mocked and ridiculed for not taking the bet and for his logic on gambler B having a better chance of getting hit the last 2 months

Now that u are retired and have long stretches of nothing to do go chart some craps tables see if you see any thing. We did this when we started.. found some significant numbers... did it again 10 years later...not much variance.. dif set of 10,000 rolls same results... But No that wd require some werk and effort.
do you think there is any one out there to do that work...hell no!!!! pull a slut machine lever play poker get a system ya can learn in 20 seconds ..het Keno that shd werk how bout lets just play the pass line and wait for a miracle.... better yet 6 deck black jack... oh yes last >>>>>>> troll some sports forum and get rich for free 10 15 games a day..>>> you shd win lots a coin...... fu^k flippin burgers and if some ass hole doesn't hit 90% tell him he cant speak English so u cant understand him... Sounds like Gambler A needs some lessons in basic probability and, specifically, independent events.

That's statistical probability..you don't have to chart that. What i am referring to is what happens in reality.
