Aces Gold and Camelot. I'll be branching out again. Steer clear here.
My preliminary research this week was lacking in motivation and focus until Camelot came along with some lines today for wagering my imaginary money, but now I've given the task just enough effort to have a full go. Heavy on the chalk as it turns out.
Matchups @1*:
Woods(-185) over Garcia
Going straight to the prime case in search of value to test a suspicion that several players in or approaching good form will have a useful burr under their saddle from coming off an immediate (and perhaps annoying) exit from the match play festivities. Looking for an oncoming and noticeable uptick in Wood's putting and driving, taking the mantle of man to beat during the next few weeks if he doesn't ring up some disastrous holes to brake the momentum. I must be seeing the ebb with Woods this week if I'm willing to pay this price against a swaggering Garcia.
Janzen(-135) over Tway
Will Janzen's rebounding form be on display this week? Hopefully, a favorable test case for a motivated effort, too.
Price(-140) over Cabrera
Liking Price's confidence and tempo at the moment, and now we'll see if there is any momentum, and putts that drop. I also like the pairing with Allem and Durant.
Outrights @ 0.40*:
If they were available, would be leaning to offerings of Janzen(50/1), Toms(25/1), Appleby(100/1) and Price (40/1).
Lastly, it looks like the matchups for the Camelot contest offer a keen examination paper to kick off the Florida swing. The scariest thing is that it probably took Stan all of 15 minutes to piece it together. Good luck to all that took the time to try and crack those hypothetical nuts.
