My Dear Dawgball:

Your attempt to be the hurt puppy doesn't fly. I've been on the receiving end of stones, arrows, personal attacks, lies, lawyer jokes, etc. for two years now. Apparently you have a problem with someone defending themselves and what they do.

If I recall correctly, you attacked the city I live in. Frankly, I agreed with you and consider this town a hell hole. I do not consider myself "ultra intelligent" as you say but rather attempt to offer a view point which may be contrary to you and other members of this forum. You see, if you think I'm a left winger, thats your perspective. I believe I'm much closer to the center, at least I hope I am.

If you look at Freeze, Blitz, Dogs, etc. posts you will find a relentless attack on lawyers. Lies, half truths, etc are the norm. I've acknowledged frivolous lawsuits, unscrupulous lawyers etc but defend the spin these agenda-laden right wingers put on to promote some media driven sound bite.

I have a brain and I use it. Although he doesn't have a brain, like the criminal in DC, I won't apologize for mine.

Hello Eddie. How are you?

Since I've never posted directly to you nor was my post directed specifically to you I find it odd, but I guess telling, that you would attack me personally.

My opinions are my opinions and are more fact supported than yours are which are more conspiracy driven than anything truly supportable. Be that as it may, I might remind you and others that share your opinions (e.g. Hockey's "I.Q. requirements") that I could respond to you and the rest in the exact same manner (of course without the personal attack as that is generally not my style) reagrding how totally wrong, short-sighted, blatantly biased, etc your comments are. That is the point. I don't think you get it and I am astounded at you and your conclusions. That's what makes for debate. Thought that was the point of this and all threads. If you are offended by honest and sincere debate and find the purpose of your thread to make personal attacks then why post at all? So that everyone can respond and tell you what a brilliant, enlightened and gifted soul you are?

I have always thought that the greatest tell in a debate is when the opponent starts to revert to personal attacks. Frankly, I've always tried to post in the same manner as I would if I were speaking personally. I know that puts me in the minority on this and all other boards but that's how I approach it. I'm curious as to what you think the response would be if you personally addressed me and others on this board face to face with your exact written comments? I wonder if you would even dare attempt to do so if given the opportunity? Maybe you can answer those two questions but I have a pretty good idea of the answer. What then does that say about you? Perhaps a lot less personal attacks and a little more self-introspection would be in order. Of course that's just my opinion.

Good Morning Mr. Majestic:

After reading your post, it is my considered opinion that it was nothing but a veiled, albeit weakly, personal attack on the undersigned. You Mr. Majestic, or may I call you Mr. Buckley, an old lawyers trick is to attack your opponent by accusing him of the exact tactics which you are using. Congratulations, did you go to law school because your post was just that.

You sound like quite the right wing elitest. Personal attacks are generally not your style, eh? Find that funny. Any relation to Bill Buckley. Your arrogance and out and out bullshit smells all the way over here in Cincinnati. I find it quite commical that you characterize your opinions as "...more fact supported..." than mine yet give none.

You are correct on one point however, opinions are opinions, they are neither right nor wrong. For two years, I have been offering opinions that differ with, apparently, yours and most others who post here. With respect to your condesending point on debate, I look forward to an opportunity to debate you one on one, as if speaking to you directly. Why don't you come to Atlantic City in August where we can have our little tete a tete.

I also think I know the answer. You see, I believe that you have decided to take up the mantle of our more intellectually challenged right wing members and be their standard bearer ala Bill Buckley. Please do, I welcome you. Your veiled attacks are laughable, that is to anyone with a modicum of intelligence. Please, state your opinions, and let clear thinking people find humour in them.

If I incorrectly interpretted your comment about clear thinking people as support of the right wingers herein which, by definition, means that those that do not support such positions as non-clear thinking, then, unlike our wonderful president, I apologize. However, if calling someones thinking non-clear is not a personal attack then I offer the following, you sir, cast the first stone on a personal attack on me as a non-clear thinking individual.

You, like your president, are full of double speak. Oh yes, in answer to your question, I am doing fine and you?

I can't seem to figure out how you think I was trying to play hurt puppy because I don't really think any of your attacks are directed towards me. I agree that there are many on this board that are right wing as you stated, and my opinions do not fall into line with them simply because I am a Republican. What my comment was referring to is the person that you described who attacks viciously on a whim seems to be very similar to you but with a different view of things.

I think you add a lot to the forum because you do state your views. I don't agree with most of them, but I don't think you nor I give a rat's ass about that.

As for the point of attacking your city, I used to live there and stated my opinion of the "hell hole". I believe, and I could stand corrected here, my comments only surfaced in rebuttal to you attacking another city at the time.

Pittsburgh, Pa.
A moderately successful lawyer parked his used Lexus in front of his office, ready to show it off to anyone naieve enough to be impressed by such things. As he got out, a truck passed too close and completely tore off the door on the driver's side. The lawyer immediately grabbed his cell phone, dialed 911, and within minutes a policeman pulled up. Before the officer had a chance to ask any questions, the lawyer started screaming hysterically. His used Lexus, which he had just picked up the day before, was now completely ruined and would never be the same, no matter what the body shop did to it.

When the lawyer finally wound down from his ranting and raving, the officer shook his head in disgust and disbelief. "I can't believe how materialistic you lawyers are," he said. "You are so focused on your possessions that you don't notice anything else."

"How can you say such a thing?" asked the lawyer.

The cop replied, "Don't you know that your left arm is missing from the elbow down? It must have been torn off when the truck hit you."

"My God!" screamed the lawyer. "Where's my Rolex?"

Mr SA you though it was great Bush new the reporters names. If they were around me most days I would to. Thats why there called the white house press core.
And of course haveing the names on a list in front of you does not hurt. You know the differance when it's a real press conferance. Watch the reporters when they get up and ask a question. Most will say there name and the news group they are with. Thats called a none planned conferance. Could you see what the answers would be form Bush in one of those. It may still be going. I like the open one's like that. It shows there's nothing to hide and you have command of your answers. The one this week was more show then go.

Dawgball:

You are correct on my attack on some other city (which one I cannot recall). By the way, I would like to get away from the word (republican I might add) "attack". I prefer enthusiastic statments or retaliatory responses or pre-emptive commentary to attacks.

As I indicated earlier, most of my posts have been reactionary responses to what I have perceived to be reckless attacks, eh excuse me, enthusiastic statements about subjects that are personal and/or significant to me, ie, my profession, the media, politicians, Christianity, personal freedoms, capital punishment, our institutions, etc.

Most of what I have posted has been from a defensive posture when the aforementioned interests have been attacked. There I go again....... enthusiastically stated. As indicated I really don't believe I attack on a whim. I obviously feel strongly about certain things and will shall we say, empatically make my point.

If I get you mad. Good. If I get you thinking. Better. But I don't anticipate changing anyones viewpoint. Quite seriously, I would like people to not be so willing to take whatever authority figure tells them is gospel. Look at all sides. I learned a long time ago, as many of the gamblers have on this board, that if the majority is in favor of something, you may want to consider going the other way.

Peace, love, dove Scumball, I mean Dawgball.

Buddy:

I love the way you referenced the undersigned in that old lawyer joke. Cute. (But I'd like to kick your ass in Court you western Pennsylvannian, Amish, buggy chaser)

See here I am just responding to an attacking post by this low-rent, collection lawyer who, like Dr. Freeze, is probably not really a lawyer after all but rather a paralegal in some back of the yellow pages advertising pi firm.

eddie, eddie, eddie, you are even a bigger joke than any of us could have thiught. just read your thread, I'm laughing so hard the side of my face that is paralyzed is even moving.

you are so pathetic you don't even understand that you are describing yourself and your kind to a tee in your posts about us. that's the biggest laugh of all.

compassionate liberals and their welfare system, the true bigots by keeping people on the rolls for generations so you can keep them poor and stupid.

sensitive and caring liberals, all you do is call people names and demean them anyway you can, right up there with rosy and barbara.

you first posted here to dispell lies from the right, what a f**king joke that is, the entire liberal and or democratic party is built on lies, half truths and hypocrisy.
WHY DOESN'T A DEMOCRAT EVER RUN OR EVEN TALK ABOUT HIS TRUE LIBERAL ROOTS AND HIS TRUE BELIEFS AT ELECTION TIME, BECASUE THEY WOULD NEVER WIN AN ELECTION IF THEY TOLD THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHAT THEY REALLY STOOD FOR. every election the democrats become moderates and in the center, then if elected they start with their same mantra, socialized medicine, class warfare by creating hate between the classes with the same old tired rich get richer and poor get poorer, poor get poorer becasuse of your welfare system.

let's just cut to the chase and what this is all about, liberals like you and the hollywood eleitists would like nothing more than to have a socialist state with all of you running everything from far a top of the utopia pole. you nitwits still think communism will work, it just needs you morons in charge.

I'll tell you, the american way of life is not only in danger from al quida sp or the radical muslims, it is even more in danger from narrowminded nitwits like you eddie the clown and YOUR KIND.

What exactly was truthful that came out of Bushes mouth in that press conference. Was it the fact that this "heralded terrorist killer" said that he has ordered the military to take decisive measures to protect our kids. Yet, they sit there everyday with targets on their backs. I agree it sounds good and makes for great sound bites but unfortunately his actions dont match his words. We should be using, no, we should demand that every weapon in our arsenal be used to protect our troops.

Eddie, I've asked you several times, and you have never answered.

You don't like President Bush, his people, his policy decisions, etc. You are vocal on here and have your opinions, and that's great. I like to hear other views.

You don't really care for government in general, and to your credit, I don't ever recall you supporting Kerry, Gore, or Clinton as far as that goes. I've never seen you post anything good about anybody in leadership, so you are consistent there.

My question is, what is the alternative? Living in the USA with our government and way of doing things, what are you doing to rectify this? Do you vote? I'm interested in who you will vote for in the presidential election.

Edward For the 100th time I am not against attorneys in general and not even the majority of all P.I. attorneys. There are many I have the utmost respect for including several on this board.
What I loath is those that portray they are trying to help "the little guy" and the truth be known they have their adminstratator screen calls to see in the potential plainiff's advisary has money or insurance or tell em "I'm too busy"
-and on your belittling of paralegal's I will say this--any can do 90% of your cases in fact I could do half of them with the correct software. For those unfamiliar with Edwards daily work load let me inform you.

Potential clients calls and once it is verifired the potential defendent has assets or insurance a phone consultation is set up.After informing the sheep how unscruplious the old insurance is and how he just hit the lottery the bait is set. If just after an accident always have the sheep be admitted to hospital and stay overnight if possible. If day after or later I (being the attorney) might "suggest" a doctor to see. They are known throughout insurance industry as (green ink) doctors. After the client sees this Dr for a few weeks, we do the standard form letters to insurance co along with (Green ink Dr's diagnosis.) Now I know that xyz Insurance will settle for certain $$$$ on a pacticular injury to avoid cost of litigation and since I have never presented a case in court I am going to stay under any figure that they will go to litigation on. After my 3rd (standard form letter) I am now ready to settle. My reward, about a 3rd of the settlement, which 'may" be 15 to 20% more than insurance co would have settled without litigation.
But I (being the attorney) could care less. I and the Dr I refered client to have once again got our insurance proceeds. Not bad pay for one phone interview, one face to face and 3 letters, that my paralegal sent;)

Will he ever answer a question put to him? How can any thinking human being vote for this person in November is beyond me. He is ducking, bobbing and weaving. He will not answer a question put to him. All he is doing is using this press conference to restate his agenda.

These reporters are throwing him softballs without following up when the slime ball bobs and weaves. He and Dick holding hands in front of the 911 commission. This is pathetic. How could this lying scumbag get elected. Yes, George, you have made mistakes. Admit it clown your killing Americans and Iraqis for bullshit reasons.
