Booman is 9-5; Ian is up for the year though doesn't post records; same for Ice Picks; same for FatBoy who hasn't posted in here for a couple of weeks and DTB and I post our records at the end of each tournament - see last week's Houston Open thread for our records. Sorry if I missed anyone else!

To play virtually all the picks posted in this forum you need only two outs:

Five Dimes - they offer a line for virtually every 72-hole matchup available on the net and they have the widest range of 18-hole matchups

Surrey - they offer the best terms for outright betting, plus they have two-ball betting at the weekend

Two optional extras would be:

Moneyplays - offer an alternative set of 18-hole matchups to Five Dimes

Olympic - offer 72-hole matchups after the end of the 2nd & 3rd rounds which DTB regularly nails

Everything else is just shopping for better lines!

Almost forgot. Clive also has a golf betting website [see his profile for address] and he rakes it in as well

This morning's Racing Post reports that players are dismayed by the lack of rough at Forest Hills this year:

'...?This has always been a tough course,? said Hoch. ?That?s one of the reasons I come here. It?s a joke.? ..'
Also quote Sutton complaining too.
Any thoughts?

Surrey and Sportingbet have almost cloned 3balls this week and find little but mega chalk. Not much opportunity on Oly place with field they have so will pass there also and hope to pick up one of the horses at bargin in wsex interactives after 1st day.

Clive - if your newspaper is accurate about the lack of rough, a new set of players will be able to contend for the title. The longer drivers now become more of a factor. I now like Steve Stricker a lot - he appears to be coming out of a lengthy slump, is long off the tee, and his game seems to suit the course. I also like Mike Sposa to do well here. And Jim Furyk.
I may drive down to Greensboro this week-end for the Friday or Round [About 3 hours]
If I do, I may be able to report on the conditions, which may [or may not] be a factor for week-end matches.

Adding:

Steve Stricker [+110] over Skip Kendall

Kendall missed the cut last week after finishing 42nd the week before. Steve Stricker has had two weeks off after a nice finish at the Masters.....He is long, and if the rough is down, he may challenge to win the thing....

Could I predict that we will still see the same "accuracy" players win this week? The rough was down in 1999 because of the very dry weather and the result was a much lower winning score, but the same type of player filled the leaderboard:

1st - Parnevik
2nd - Furyk
3rd - Maggert
4th - Hart
5th - Lehman
6th - Stankowski (exception to the rule)
6th - Triplett

All are among the straightest drivers on Tour or were in 1999, bar Stank, and all not very long off the tee

I'm not panicking yet

Belkin, easiest thing at the moment would be to go to the 'Ratings' page on my website [see profile for address] and look for at least 5pt differentials between the players. That should be a decent indicator of where I see value

To DTB - WD Info

Hey there buddy,

No real magic, but here's the deal. I cut and paste the Friday 5pm pgatour.com field. Although the date may remain the same on the field listing, they do update periodically until they post their Tuesday 5pm field. Easy way I 'quick check' is to see if an alternate has moved into the field - then just hunt who dropped out. Then I confirm thru tee times (if they're up) and various other sources. It's been solid info, and somewhat amazing that I -and We- know DiMarco and Mayfair (example this week) are out and the investments houses are writing business on them.

Glad you and Stan find the info useful, and happy to pitch in and help out.

Regards and Good Luck...
