Even tho the America-hating justices on the Supreme Court tried hard to circumvent the easily understood language of our Constitution, the majority has decided that yes, the second Amendment does actually say "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be abridged." It's a simple phrase, not hard to understand.

Thank god we have English speakers on the Supreme Court, other wise we might have more jurists saying you have no right to own a gun, when every law professor in America understands that the framers knew that without a gun in your RIGHT hand, the limitations on your RIGHTS (see the connection?) would be insurmountable. All the records from our early history clearly show a group of individuals who feared a government take-over of our country. To help prevent that eventuality, they installed an easily understood law that prevented government from taking away your guns. If the general populace was unarmed, as todays leftists so desperately want, we'd be ripe for all sorts of government abuse of our rights.

The left-wingers who troll these forums, who have ZERO understanding of law and jurisprudence, (or common courtesy or respect, for that matter, good job "centrists", lol, good one) will of course spout off and pronounce some bullshit crap about how they know more about our constitution than the Supreme Court, and they'll post all sort of crazy shit saying individual Americans have no rights, we are vassals in a feudal society, we are peons, we should be grateful the government lets us keep any of the money we work for, etc.

It does get trite, and it is bothersome that these left-wing nut job use the very right they rally against to rally against the very rights they rally against.

Of course, none of the left-wing wackos who troll these forums has any idea of how law is conceived or implemented or debated among jurists, they'll just pop off about how people have NO right to do anything unless the government lets them.

The lawsuit that is in question, that clears up the fact that yes the Constitution really does say "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be abridged" really does mean that, is from a guy who lives a FEW BLOCKS FROM THE SUPREME COURT, where armed security guards are everywhere.

Diane Feinstein, that upstanding citizen that she is immediately pronounced that having guns will make you less safe....

The left-wing nut jobs in this country are so full of shit.

Thank god we have a majority on the court who can speak and read English.

It is a shame the same hypocrites couldn't use the same Constitution and make the correct ruling on the Habeus Corpus case.

You make as bout as much sense as mayor daley in in link IO put up--

In one breaths he's worried about going back to times prior to their 1982 handgun freeze--

"An ?outraged? Mayor Daley this morning denounced a U.S. Supreme Court ruling overturning Washington D.C.?s handgun ban as a ?frightening decision? and a ?return to the days of the Wild West.?

Daley predicted that Chicago?s 1982 handgun freeze would be next in the crosshairs of the powerful gun lobby and that gun violence will surge if they?e successful.

--then "inadvertantly"gives us this little stat concerning success of ban--:)

"At a time when Chicago?s homicide rate is rising by nearly 13 percent and children are being gunned down on city streets, Daley said the Supreme Court has ?changed the rules? in a way that will make it far more difficult to protect law-abiding citizens."

Shit--you would figure with "the ban" and--
the" hope and change" they've experienced past decade--things would be getting better--not worse.

Kinda makes ones legs tingle--;)

I do believe like in wild/wild west years ago. Any kid over 16 can have his gun. And then when pissed off can blow his loving parents away. You know the ones Who were for this law. For get kids who grew up in those tough out door times. When most had to hunt so there family could have food. Not so they can have ak47 to kill police. However everyone should have to register there weapon.

Good one GW---but Obama did you one better.
How does the artful dodger--dance around the
2nd amendment issue--

how bout this--

WASHINGTON (AP) - John McCain welcomed a Supreme Court decision invalidating a District of Columbia handgun ban. Barack Obama sought to straddle the subject by saying he favors an individual's right to bear firearms as well as a government's right to regulate them.

He can say he took both sides depending where he's speaking--like the present vote.

What a spineless little coward!!!!!!!!

he`s moving to the center to get elected....notice how, when they asked his opinion BEFORE the decision was rendered,he said "let`s wait".....

he`s on record as being for the d.c. gun ban and now he`s against it.....

like jerusalem...like blanket immunity for telecoms involved with fisa...meeting with despots without preconditions...public campaign financing...

reverend wright....

he threw his white grandmother under the bus....and now she`s up front and center in his new t.v. ad `cause he knows he needs the white female vote...

read krauthammer`s latest article...

I know I am beating a dead horse around here, and must sound something like a broken record, but both guys are politics as usual. I just happen to side more with Mc"Cane" on a couple of issues near and dear to my heart:toast:

Cliche count pretty high in this post, no?

again,no mccain fan here...i think we`re addressing the "change" mantra that every mofo who doesn`t have a clue what obama`s positions are seems to regurgitate...

no change here...you move to the middle to get elected..and then slide back into the position of "the most liberal senator in washington".....

if there ever were a true "middle of the roader",any honest person would agree it`s mccain...he has conservatives(me) totally pissed off at him....and seems more concerned with appeasing the left than his own base....

i understand obama wins easily barring some mind boggling revelation...all he has to do is equate mccain with bush...get his urrogates to make the "old" case....the media`s already laid the groundwork for him...

if he f-cks this up,then i guess we were damned lucky `cause it`s all laid out right in front of him...

all obama has to do is play defense..

same old mindless tripe.

"he has conservatives(me)"

if you voted for Bush, and consider yourself a "conservative", then you really do have no understanding of what a conservative is.

I know you hate Daley, but I love press conferences when he's pissed.

My kind of town!!

He won't be able to impose his will like he can as dictator of this city. Things might get more frustrating for him and thusly more entertaining for you.
