nice to see you've taken the gloves off, bro...now go get to work on a teaser wheel for next weekend.

I don't think I've ever read of a bettor with a record that could match Nolan's unposted plays.

Reply to Nick Douglas..........I will just add this , no more from me. You said that the negative replies you get are from folks who lose long term. Goldberg has been around a long time. Over the years, he has been very good when one takes his overall record into account. As you've said, gambling is a marathon, not a sprint. There is nothing wrong with a marathon lasting 5-10 years & more. My guess is that you are only exposed to him over the past couple of years on ESPN. One thing I will grant, he tends to be rather streaky.
Also, ESPN limits his time to a few seconds per game.......not much time to go into any kind of depth. Perhaps he can go into depth but doesn't and turns the info into ESPN friendly "square talk". Either is acceptable(square or depth) if it turns out winners IMO. And, hey, he is free !!
His overall record on his daily show so far this season is 31-28-2 and is 5-4 so far today, which is better than, or at least on par with, a lotta pay touts that I see.

Nick and Nolan are both excellent writers, I don't think that can be denied. They both want u to ingest what they write and agree/disagree/discuss/respond/ etc. When somebody can make you think even if makes u think they don't know wtf they are writing about, well, that's the point.

Wait! Your *unposted* record is absolutely perfect! In fact, your *posted* record is perfect, too.

Oh but wait, I don't ever recall YOU making a pick or posting an analysis or opinion. I can't match your unblemished record.

I concede.

Folks, please turn to S-Love and Worm for future debate an analysis.

PS -- Funny how he picks on the "teaser wheel" which was only used on two occasions and put up a net of about +12 units.

what is so hard to understand?...you seem to reply with with curse words etc-I said you cant take criticism.

I, by the way, have contributed way more to this forum than you by giving more winners-thats what Jack says this place is about "beating the man"-you seem more interested in posting dribble to hide the @ 45% winning percentage I have witnessed for about 3 years here

Jack- please give Nolan some bandwidth and a Free Picks page- he obviously is in need of attention and affection from his lemmings again after a few weeks off from here. I just can't wait to read how he's doing versus Peter Polyester again this season.

Nick is a decent, fluid writer I believe because he works at it-(writing a screen play will help in that area) but Nolan for someone that is published, has many grammatical errors and misspellings.

Both together are not over 50% for the last 2 years and are pretty good fades over that time

i swear sometimes i think this is a kindergarden class. i wrote in another thread that i don't understand the personal criticisms of other people's posts.

the purpose of these type of forums is to exchange thoughts & ideas.not to personally attack the poster.

all these attacks do is chase people away.

it's pretty simple, people should just not read a poster that they don't like.

i think that we should respect the fact that nick took the time to post his thoughts on hank goldberg.and i think that anybody who takes hank seriously or who makes a bet on what hank says needs his head examined.

Hmmm.....I posted a record of 58 percent winners this year (2004 NFL)...that includes about 150 plays. It's all there if you care to look it up.

More crickets.

As for criticism, I was not the taget of critics in this post. I'm just tired of people who do NOTHING for the forum consistently attacking people who have something to offer (even if we don't agree with the contributor). The harsh words came from one slug name S-LOVE, who I have noticed NEVER contributed a thing to the board. Then, YOU shimed in and decided to start bashing. Honestly, I HAVE enjoyed your write ups over the years and have no idea why you came into the debate.

Great, now you are the "spelling police." That will win a lot of support here. (Fletcher, duck -- the spelling and punctuation police are creeping around this Halloween).

I better run a spell check on this post first, because I'd hate to get the wrath of Worm.

take another vicadin Nolan...I found it ballsy for Nick Douglas to call Hammerin Hank a HUGE SQUARE when maybe Nick shouldn't be throwing stones in glass houses based on his records. You've obviously got issues with me because I've never hesitated to call bullshit on you either.

I'll defend Hank, you defend Nick- I can see where you writers need to stick together.

BTW- Did you square up with Kosar yet?

Love:

Can you please tell me who is starting for SFO tonight at QB? Can you let me know the status of the Bears' OL this week? Can you do or say anything -- throw a dart for crissakes and let us know where it lands -- anything that MIGHT allow someone at this board to get something helpful from your expereince and insight?

Waiting.

Waiting.

Waiting.

Last I heard Timmy Rattay is a gametime decsion....if he can't go then it's probably Ken Dorsey. Bears OL status should be healthy enough for Jones to go off as he'll need to with rookie Krenzel at QB. I look for the Bears to get a relatively easy win in primetime behind the strength of their running game vs a banged up 49er D used to falling behind early.

On the course!
S-Love does post plays, Nolan. He makes his picks every week in the NCAA contest, I believe.

As for Hank? He's just like any other Joe in this game. Pluggin' around the .500 mark. The good years get eaten up by the bad eventually........
