Let's take it a step further. This board is full of straight white men born in America. It doesn't get any better than that. I talked with a friend about that awhile ago. We hit the lottery being born a straight white men in America.

Could u imagine if we (the white)were the slaves and it was the other way around. I guess we would have just gotten over it like it was nothing. These neo-con assholes would be bringing that up (being slaves) every day of the week to get anything they could out of it. I could just imagine if i knew my grandparents were slaves. I think the chip on my shoulder would be quite large. Not even sure time could take it away.

Actually, what I was saying was that in relationship to the total of human experience, both past and present, most Americans today have it quite easy.

yet progressives want to change that....they feel guilty that our forefathers provided the greatest life experience in the history of the world(as they fiddle with their i-pods and play on their computers)....

i know it`s hard to understand why everyone wouldn`t want to be a guilt-ridden progressive....but let me try....

let's see...our side abides by the law, works hard, adheres to basic hygiene, and respects this country and its traditions....

your side includes guys who wander about with enlarged scrotums, badly-dressed hags, paranoid conspiracy theorists, moms who drop their toddlers on their heads at protests, and men who poop on u.s. flags in front of small children.....

/a quick thumbnail

Looks like I need to take Weezy to school today...

Progressivism is a political attitude favoring or advocating changes or reform through governmental action. Progressivism is often viewed in opposition to conservative or reactionary ideologies.

The Progressive Movement began in cities with settlement workers and reformers who were interested in helping those facing harsh conditions at home and at work. The reformers spoke out about the need for laws regulating tenement housing and child labor. They also called for better working conditions for women.

In the United States, the term progressivism emerged in the late 19th century into the 20th century in reference to a more general response to the vast changes brought by industrialization: an alternative to both the traditional conservative response to social and economic issues and to the various more radical streams of socialism and anarchism which opposed them. Political parties, such as the Progressive Party, organized at the start of the 20th century, and progressivism made great strides under American presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Lyndon Baines Johnson.

Now Weezy, perhaps you'd like to tell us how our forefathers provided African-Americans with "the greatest life experience in the history of the world". Queue up Weezy responding by saying that "black atheletes and entertainers have it pretty good", as if their life experience is representative of the black experience in America.
