Taking 3 shots this week
J Kaye 60-1
Appleby 30-1
Franco 40-1
Also would like to see odds on big John Daly. He plays very well in this tourney-coupled with his "success"(limited) this year-would be interested in a show bet-but Olympic puts him in the field.

This looks like one for the favourites, not a lot of time but these are my 3 against the field -:

Tom Lehman 18/1
Brad Faxon 28/1
Hal Sutton 16/1

With Robert Gamez looking a shade overpriced at 125/1 for a place.

Calc is now -120 fav over Furyk,I still like Furyk,ya dont go under the knife and beat a better golfer that just got married and is playing in his home turf.Furyk is easy money,I dont care that Calc is the current scoring leader this yr.

Adding:

Skip Kendall to beat John Daly -130 @ Moneyplays
Always look to oppose Daly even if he has a decent record on this track. When out of contention he can be relied on to freefall down the leaderboard and it should not be forgotten that Kendall has a decent record here as well. It was only a 3rd round 73 that caused him to finish down in 19th last year and he comes here after finishing 25th last week. If conditions are calm, Kendall's superior putter will give him a good week.

WSEX has me puzzeled. I've been looking to pick up a couple contracts on Sutton and they have yet to list him on interactive board. Quite unusual.Wonder whats up with that? Also missing in oly w/p pool.
=============================================
Another oddity while all lines have moved on Barlow/Smith 72 hole (Smith +120 @ $plays)Surrey has heid @ 10/11? Of course can't scalp where ties lose.

1st round results 0-2-1
Stankowski/Kendall push
Furyk/Mickelson loss by 1
Elder/Perry loss by 5

72 hole
Durant/Houston 1 up

Afternoon winds that been blowing all week never developed today staying at mild 8mph.
Kendall and Mick both birdie final hole for push and win and quite a remarkable up and down by Mick I might add.I see when K Perry has went to left hand low in putting.Hope it continues to work for him.Has always been top notch ball striker.
Back in early am with plays.

2nd round plays
Faxon +125 over Herron $plays
Lehman -120 over Faxon 5dimes
Kind of a hedge. To lose both Herron would have to beat both Lehman and Faxon and Faxon beat Lehman.
Durant -115 over Appleby
K Perry -115 over Elder
This last one always bites me,reversing players.Hopefully we'll get anticipated wind this afternoon.

On interactives am selling 1 contract each of Calc and Durant for total of $13 giving me 1 remaining of each @ net cost of $1.50 or 66/1 on each.

3ball combo was not completed at yesterdays post but did not fare well losing 4 out of the six in the parlay.

1st round update: 1-2 and -3.85 units

A convincing win and two 1-shot losses

Paulson beat Gamez by five, but both Herron and Day were edged out by one shot in a day of surprisingly calm winds. The 72-hole plays are split after the first round: Sutton leads Hart by one, Stankowski trails Smith by one, Dimarco trails Smith by two, Parry trails Ogilvy by eight and Kendall leads Daly by three.

2nd round plays:

Phil Mickelson to beat Tom Lehman -125 @ Five Dimes
Kenny Perry to beat Brad Elder -115 @ Five Dimes [3 units]
Dudley Hart to beat Andrew Magee -130 @ Five Dimes [2 units]
Steve Flesch to beat Paul Stankowski -125 @ Five Dimes [2 units]
Stuart Appleby to beat Skip Kendall -105 @ Moneyplays
Gary Nicklaus to beat Fuzzy Zoeller -111 @ DAS
