3rd round plays
Stankowski -110 over Gay @ $plays
Smith +115 over Hayes @ $plays
McRoy -115 over Edwards @5dimes
McCarron -115 over Herron 5dimes
Parny -125 over Houston 5dimes

Notes Was going to hedge Smith play with Hayes over Lancaster but someone jumped line from -115 to -140 by time I went back to bet it?Little worried about Spike being paired with Daly but Edwards ranks 180th in 3rd rd scores so I'll give it a go.Still not sold on Houston who has avoided the wind up to now.

2nd round update: 3-2-1 and +2.39 units

Almost a very good day! Nicklaus always struggled against Zoeller and finished a 3-shot loser, but Flesch was edged out by one shot by Stankowski and Appleby dropped two shots over his closing holes havgin surged to the top of the leaderboard. His 70 was enough for only a push against Kendall. The three remaining plays won: Mickelson by two over Lehman, Perry by one over Elder and Hart by two over Magee.

No 72-hole plays were decided at the cut and just as well, with only the two-unit play on Sutton over Hart leading (by 4 shots). In the rest, Stankowski trails the pain of the week, Chris Smith by two and DiMarco trails him by seven, while Parry trails Ogilvy by five and Kendall trails Daly by two. The outrights could compensate though with Calcavecchia in 2nd place and Sutton in 9th. Furyk just made the cut on the mark.

3rd round plays:

Briny Baird to beat Kevin Johnson +125 @ Sportingbet [2 units]
Mark Calcavecchia to beat Chris Smith -138 @ Sportingbet [2 units]
John Cook to beat Steve Flesch +130 @ Moneyplays [3 units]
Brian Gay to beat Dan Forsman -125 @ Five Dimes
Brian Gay to beat Craig Perks +100 @ Sportingbet [2 units]
Brian Gay to beat Paul Stankowski -113 @ Sportbet
Lee Janzen to beat Pete Jordan -145 @ Intertops [3 units]

Durant/Houston 3up

Left to hit balls with about 5 holes left thinking 5-1 or 4-2 at worse and come back to this mess.Perks birdies last to tie which is loss at Euros making 2 push in 2 wagers for 2 loss's this year in matches there.Would have to bet it tomorrow. No cut in 5 starts this year prior to Honda with one round out of 11 in 60's.Last was worse shot 3 rounds in the 60's in 1st 35 rounds 68 and two 69's.

3rd round update: 4-3-0 and +2.25 units

Disappointing result in truth - at one stage all seven matches were winning! Flesch had a great back nine to catch and overtake Cook by two, as did Forsman in overtaking Gay by three, while Gay let slip a one-shot advantage on the last when he failed to match Perk's birdie on the easy par-five and at Sportingbet a tie is a lost wager. Good size margins in the four wins though: three-shots for Calcavecchia, Janzen and Gay over Stankowski and four-shots for Baird.

No improvement in the 72-hole plays with only one ahead. They now stand: Sutton/Hart 6 up; Stankowski/Smith 4 down; DiMarco/Smith 6 down; Parry/Ogilvy 11 down; Kendall/Daly 2 down. Still a chance of a profit with the outright plays though with Calc in 2nd and Sutton in 7th. Furyk improved on the day, but only to 45th.

4th round plays:

Craig Perks to beat Fulton Allem -115 @ Five Dimes
Stuart Appleby to beat Brad Faxon -110 @ Carib
Neal Lancaster to beat Matthew Goggin -111 @ DAS
Glen Hnatiuk to beat David Morland -130 @ Five Dimes [2 units]
Scott McCarron to beat Paul Stankowski -115 @ Five Dimes [2 units]

Will add two-ball plays later.

Brave man indeed
wink.gif

Made up for the slight disappointment of Calc, especially as Parnevik was not ih the original entries for the tournament - and continued the trend of 30 + year olds born outside but resident in Florida winning this event
Update on 72 hole matchbets tomorrow - off to hopefully see Pepper finish top 4
(DTB - the "bushmaster" is back)

Final update: 6-2-0 and +5.26 units for the day; 15-12-2 and +4.65 units for the week

Decent finish to the week despite Calcavecchia's 3-putt! Generally solid wins on all today's matches. The results: Perks/Allem 4 up; Appleby/Faxon 2 up; Lancaster/Goggin 4 up; Hnatiuk/Morland 5 up; McCarron/Stankowski 2 up; Langer/Morland 4 up. The bad loss was again in the Gay/Perks matchup - he lost by six, while the frustrating loss was the tie between Kendall and Allem. This one was dead until a 3-shot swing in the last two holes and the second tie to lose in two days
mad.gif

The 72-hole plays finished a disappointing 1-3-1 with only Sutton winning; he beat Hart by three. Elsewhere Stankowski lost by two to Smith, Dimarco lost by one to Smith, Parry lost by nine to Ogilvy and Kendall tied to push with Daly.

Update on outright plays: 1-2 and -0.50 units

What a finish and what a way to miss out
rolleyes.gif
Calc's three-putt on the last denied him a playoff place and he secured only a place win on the week. Furyk had a great weekend, but he had left himself too much to do and finished in 7th place. Sutton had been in position, but couldn't break par on the last day and fell to 18th.

PGA Tour ytd:
Matchups/props: 76-70; -5.18 units
Outright plays: 3-26; -6.50 units

Update after conclusion of SBC Senior Classic ...

All Tours ytd:
Matchups/props: 132-130; -15.02 units
Outright plays: 17-91; +66.26 units

Reach a couple of season landmarks this week. First, surpass 50% on matchups
rolleyes.gif
and second, surpass 50 units in profits. Should be clear from the former that this is the result of two great weeks in the outrights (New Zealand Open & Toshiba Senior Classic) rather than any solid capping. Still, March has been much more like it should be

Can't wait for the TPC now
