Monty will catch enough hell from the Rednecks down here without my help, and Maggert and the rest of the Bermuda boys will be just fine. TPC suits maggerts game pretty good. Don't know why he hasn't ever played that well.

1st Rd 3 Balls

Dimarco -v Gogel/Pavin 11/10 Stan James

Sutton -v- Kelly/ Pernice 2/1 VC

Stricker-v- Hoch/ Clark 2/1 Sunderlands

Chamblee -v Campbell/ Quigley 5/2 Stan James

Bottom two may raise a few eyebrows but Stricker played well last week; and Chamblee can hit it at any time ( it's the knowing when that is the problem ).

Results in. I'll take that. Trust Hal to let me down:rolleyes:

Side Note- Nearly choked on me cake when I saw Begay at -3 thru 9 and Duval at +2 thru 8:shrug: going on???

Okay, Got to watch most of the afternoon players. And for the couple of holes that I saw each player, the players that looked solid where Verplank, and Allenby, and Huston. Only hole I saw Jay Haas he was real solid. Two nice shots and a 90 yard pitch for eagle. Guys that looked like they were struggling with control were Craig Barlow, Greg Norman, Ian Leggatt and John Daly. Watched Daly on about 3 holes (after he was already about 4 under on the first 5), and he was scrambling but still scoring. Missed every fairway I saw. Nothing really to go on, but that's what I saw. And they charge too much for a damn beer.

yak merchant, did u manage to catch a sight of Monty on your travels round the course or we're you following specific groups? Was he getting any grief from the Texan faithful?

Only saw him for a hole and a half, but no grief, actually he was getting more cheers than just about everyone I saw except for Duval and Daly.

Mid-point update:

Price/Campbell WON by 9
Singh/Huston Leads by 11
Verplank/Montgomerie Leads by 6
Stricker/Norman LOST by 8
Mize/Gow WON by 4

Toms 31st
Verplank 6th
Leonard 9th

A favorable position at half-time, but a wild finish in two matchups. Gow dropped eight shots in the last three holes - he finished with a 9 on the 18th - to award an undeserved victory to Mize; Stricker dropped four shots in the last three holes to miss the cut and surrender the chance to catch the Shark. Barring any more wild finishes, should get a good result in the matchups and at least one top-5 position from here.

Hoping for windy weather

Hoping for windy weather

I am hoping for bad windy weather and hoping Vijay lays an egg and hoping Clarke does the same. I have some decent guys for the overall wagers coming up from behind but Vijay looks sharp could have shot even lower today if he putted a little better. Fade Vijay Fade.

Back home from week of golf in Bama

At the cut
Had only one play an outright to place on Riley. He currently sits in 6th.

adding some place only wagers @ Oly
Maruyama 20/1
Toms 10/1
Funk 60/1

Against better judgement of anticipated weather (see below) will play a few 3rd rd plays.
Roberts -110 over Chalmers @ $plays
K Sutherland -112 over Pampling @ %dimes
Toledo -115 over J Smith @ 5Dimes

3 surprises in top 5 Hayes,Ogilvy and Jobe despite having not done much prior this year all have 1 common denominator.
Home Cookin

Starting time has been moved up to 8:06 due to anticipated weather today.

Followed the leaders (last 3-4 groups) all day. Only guy I saw struggling was Riley. Just thought I'd pass that along.

3rd rd results 0-3:eek:
Roberts/Chalmers lost by 4
Sutherland/Pampling lost by 6
Toledo/J Smith lost by 4

What terrible selections as they shoot +3 collectively with lift, clean and place.

Have chance to make amends in outrights as all 4 sit at no worse than 16th at generous odds.Maybe one will get to the house.

Considered passing today as I always seem to do poorly in LC&P conditions but will venture out on 3 despite thumping yesterday.

Singh +100 over Oly at WSEX or $plays.
This looks like obvious trap.Got to think linesmakers are thinking Singh will put it on cruise. Been quite a while since I witnessed the precision ball striking Singh put on yesterday.Missed MANY birdie putts and as Clarke said in interview it appeared he shot a 60 or 61.5dimes has Oly @ +105 for you scalpers.

Price +100 over Riley @ $plays
Leonard -102 over Price @ 5Dimes

Hedge play. To lose both matches Riley will have to beat both Price and Leonard. If that occurs he may slip in as outright.

While being a little short for a my place wagers the 22/1 now available on Singh in Masters does not look bad for previous winner and top 25 or better in half of 8 attempts.
would not be surprised to see them drop him in 16/1 range after weekend. If you fancy him it would probably be wise to go now.
Prefer him to Mick,Els,Duval and Sergio all currently at much shorter odds.
