1A action starts today at 11 AM ET and can be viewed on CSN Chicago. Looks like the Den total went down to 40' while my Mt Ayr number is still at 62. Lets go defenses :0corn

Caught the end of that Mt Ayr game. Ballsy call to go for 2 and the win instead of playing for OT.
Coach probably figured since it was their 5th TD of the day that they would make the 2 pt. conversion and they did to win 36-35.

Bettendorf got smoked in the 2nd half of their game after being tied at 7 at halftime.
Kennedy has some playmakers-- should make for an entertaining final regardless of what DM school wins in the other semi final game.

Thanks for the recap. I missed the 2H and Maxpreps didn't have the final up last I checked.
I live in Waukee (west edge of Des Moines). We play both Valley and Dowling. Dowling has been doing the scholarship thing for years.
So has Valley for that matter. And yes, Swenson (Valley coach) is a dick.
Kennedy does have some play makers. Have a buddy that went there and raves about them. We shall see next week.

Waukee is tuff in football the last 2 years. Playng twice a week--only once last week because of snow. We do't get as muich as the mts. Playing twice next week. Good to hear from you. So you know Mr Swenson huh? gl Hit the only total I had, Dike total goes today-gl
I get Dowling doing it as they are a Catholic school and get to play by different rules that do the public schools but Valley is a public high school. How are they recruiting? Other than getting the good football players to move into their district?
Dowling can offer kids free tuition to go to school there; Valley can't.
Regina is leading Dike-New Hartford 14-7 late in the 2nd quarter. They just recovered a fumble at midfield and now are in field goal range.
Should be an interesting 2nd half....:toast:

Nice... Got that Regina game with you and have to thank you Redsfan and Spalding. I wouldn't even have looked at it without you guys. Only one I tanked on was the Mt Ayr total but had the Solon/Stow game under last night. Thought I posted that here but must have been BG's thread.
