Stay safe my friend. This storm looks like it has the potential to be one of the biggest ever to hit that part of the states.

These weather reporters are having a field day with this thing. It's like they are rooting for the storm to get bigger.

I can't imagine, I've been fortunate that I've never had to prepare for one of these things.

Stay safe OS and everybody else in the path of this thing.

Isn't that a bit frustrating? Actively rooting against people, their families, their possessions and livelihoods just so you have something to talk about on the news.

Fuck those people.

Stay safe and dry OS. Good luck.

Agree. It amazed me this morning that they had taken down the "Catastrophic" and the "storm of a lifetime"and the announcer said while it has been downgraded the storm surge will kill everything in a 4 state area? While this stupid mother stood in 2 inches of water for effect?
Praying this thing dries up and goes away, but tell us the truth.Everyone stay safe.

I just saw a reporter flying down the street in the back of a pick up. Made a nice effect with a "50MPH wind flying past her!

True story. I was in gulf shores in alabama a few years back and a tropical storm was forecasted and was hitting the city. Jim Cantore is there live and is pleading people to stay away as this thing is a monster. He was doing it outside our condo between 2 buildings that the wind ALWAYS blows .He could barely stand still it was so bad he says,, I was loading up my clubs to go play golf and this family with a little girl barely 5 walked right by him. He yelled cut cut. Lets do this again !..It was freaking hilarious..But i the other side,Nothing funny about these storms.Hope everyone is ok and hunkered down.

I know it's financial restrictions for some, but I'm with you. I'd be in Vegas and someone let me know when it's over and time to clean up.

I'll never understand the "ride it out" people.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Most of the healthy and able "ride out" folks seeking a thrill ride, and protecting property. Some stay to help too... This gal we can see has cane and supplemental oxygen. Plenty of those there too, as you say..
