Gus Johnson has always tried(too hard) to make something seem WAY more exciting than it was. While this was exciting, any true MMA fan was expecting this against the first true MMA guy he faced. If Frank was really willing to fight him tonight, then you know he was expecting this outcome as well.

I take it that you don't watch MMA on a regular basis.

Yes Kimbo is a farce. A FIX- NO WAY.

Kimbo just sucks is all it is.

Your never betting on MMA cost you 4-1 odds last night as EVERYONE SINGLE PERSON ON MADJACK THAT COULD PLAYED SETH LAST NIGHT.

CONGRATS ON NOT WINNING BECUASE YOU DON'T MAKE MMA PLAYS.

Well, boxing fights are fixed quite often ( in scoring; a fighter throwing the fight is less common, but happens )- why wouldn't that be the case with MMA ?

Where there's money there's corruption; don't be so naive. I've seen thousands of boxing matches and can realise when a punch does damage; Slice threw the fight.

I base my opinion on the images; Slice was barely grazed from an arm shot with no weight behind it.

The following shots barely connected and Kimbo wasn't allowed to absorb much punishment ;

You can go back 2 weeks and see the shots delivered by Breidiss Prescott to Khan; they were probably harder than anything that went down yesterday.

And then there's the betting factor;
Gambling pros can't even get decent odds on near even matches; this weekend, Angulo was 1.15 to beat Tsurkan who never got stopped; Gamboa, who got floored a few weeks ago by Jimenez, was facing an unbeaten pro with 20 fights, , and he's favored 1.08 to win.And he nearly loses in the first round !!

Petruzelly finds out he's fighting Kimbo at the last second, yet he's only somehow a 4 to 1 underdog ??

How naive can people be ?????

Crow....I am sure you know your boxing.....but sorry buddy if you knew the story behind Kimbo you'd realize that what you are saying makes no sense....you are way way way off.....waaaaaaaay off.

You need to educate yourself........watch the video and you will see the VP (Shaw) of the organization yelling and crying, next to him is another Elite exec (Lappen).......

CROW....you are so wrong you really need to educate yourself big-time.

See link below.

Again......CROW.....you need to know what the deal is before you make moronic statements. Everything is done for Kimbo to win.......you are so wrong:nono:

Hey, if you think MMA is 100% clean, good for you.
I'm not here to bash you or anybody else; i was giving my opinion.

In any case i wish good luck to any gambler trying his luck in ANY martial art.

I didn't say MMA is 100% clean....no sport is 100% clean. All sports are corrupt, just a matter of how much. But in the Kimbo fight you obviously don't know the story.

No harm done.......and yes I think boxing is a complete joke, but if you are making money on it, then that's all that matters. You obviously know boxing and are used to seeing guys taking dives, so I can understand why you'd think what you did. And yes, guys in MMA have taken dives before (in small shows). It happens, but it sure as hell didn't happen in the Kimbo fight. Kimbo just sucks, he was exposed...simple as that.

By no means is MMA 100% clean.
I even mentioned in another thread that Shamrock may tank this one. It looks as if he tanked the fight with Berry.

Elite is a company doing everything to not go bankrupt. Kimbo is(was) the face of the sinking organization. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE LOSS FOR THE COMPANY!!!

Here are the facts about Kimbo:
1. He has never fought anyone in his life with a pulse.
2. He is fairly old for a guy breaking into a sport.
3. He has ZERO cardio from past drug use.
4. No one has ever seen if he can take a punch as he has just fought a bunch of BOXCAR WILLIES who had no training or skill.

If you watched the Thompson fight then you would have known all of the above. Now you can tack on that he has no chin. Kimbo's payday was to win not tank as the undefeated record was the best thing he had going!!!

Petruzelly finds out he's fighting Kimbo at the last second, yet he's only somehow a 4 to 1 underdog ??[/I]

I think you need to do some homework on Petruzelli.
Seth was 9-4 and was never KO'd before and he has fought guys much better than Kimbo in his career(Hamill,Gouveia, and even Sevryn). Although none have KO power of Kimbo, they are all better than Kimbo.

I admit that I didn't expect the fight to be that short, but everyone on here was shocked that Kimbo was such a heavy favorite so to say only a 4-1 underdog is ridiculous.

Everyone here jumped on it. The people that follow MMA knew the outcome of this one before it happened.

I chose crow because i knew posting predictions is a difficult prop for anyone. So i might as well announce the color before anyone jumps on mines.:SIB

Seems my comments came down hard on you; sorry if that was the case.

Gamblers here having been cheated by corruption inside fighting sports will relate to my ramblings; my biggest losses for these last 2 years were to MANIFEST home cookings, so when i see one i let my feelings know.
As far as MMA goes, I havn't been wagering on it, and never will. That's because i see it as a sport easy to fix. What i glimpsed last night didn't change my opinion one bit.

:mj07:[/QUOTE]

What exactly was there to gain with fixing a fight for him to lose:shrug: Now if you were talking about that one fight he won were the guy was tapping before he hit the ground im with ya. Fixing it for him to lose im not. Nothing at all to gain.
