Saw him speak to the fans after a ballgame a few weeks ago.

He got all his Tats when he was a junkie. He is so ashamed of them. They remind him of what he used to be. Thats why he tries to cover them up. Hence the lextra long sleeve on his jersey and tape going up his arm to his elbow. He tried to have them lasered off but it was too painful.

He cant even go to dinner with his teamates b/c he is afraid he might want a beer. If he has one, he will lose it.

He also keeps no more than ten bucks in his pocket cause he is afraid he will buy crack.. Every day he struggles to stay clean. A serious serious addict... I cant imagine living like that

That's kinda surprising - with an Indians logo as your avatar, I assumed you'd be a baseball fan.

It's not like Hamilton is a nobody:

1. He was #1 pick in the draft 5 or so years ago
2. Won comeback player of the year last year for the Reds
3. Has led the AL in RBI's pretty much all season
4. Has an outside shot at winning the triple crown (which hasn't been for a long time).

He's a pretty popular player .....
