This fucking bullshit will finally come to an end, for the sake of College Basketball:

Team Fouls

Auburn 26
Duke 13

Free Throw Attempts

Auburn 9
Duke 34

It was 18 for Duke and 0 for Auburn at half. Sure, Auburn covered, but they honestly could have won if not for the disparity. And I'm not a fan of either team. Just a fan of basketball and a fairly officiated game.

Well Said!!! :0074 I Concur!!!

I can tell you this D2, I'll be betting on Auburn, esp if there are short lines because they are a very good team. Despite getting jobbed on free throws and having to fight through that BS, they could have won that game and I think Duke is head and shoulders above most teams in the country.

You got to give Duke credit-they do have a good team.

No doubt Duke is a great team Hawk as I said in my earlier post. On paper they may be the best team in this century. However, if Auburn had shot just half as many FT's(17) as Duke my Tigers could have won this intense game. Officiating ALWAYS seems to favor the Blue Devils.

Hard to shoot free throws when the only player attacking the basket is a 5 ft 7 inch guard with orange stockings.
Bolden had seven clean blocks.
If you are going to complain about officials do not leave out the intentional foul that was not called on Auburn for grabbing Duke player going in for a dunk.
All of Duke?s starters attacked the basket.

OK, I'll add that fact. I would also like to add the fact that the intentional foul was not called on Duke for grabbing an Auburn player in the 2nd half.

Best team of the century.....easy now...we are only 4-5 games in. Ole Roy does more with less than K. :0008

I know but on paper they have a chance to be one of the best teams ever. Remember, we are only 18 years into this Century. :D I see you live in Raleigh, NC Four Corners. I lived in Charlotte when I was 6-12 years old, 1st through 6th Grade, and I fell in love with Dean Smith & his Tar Heels. Saw some of the greatest games(remember NC tying Duke @ Cameron Indoor Stadium down 8 w/18 seconds left in the game...then winning in OT) & greatest players(Phil Ford, Bob McAdoo, Mitch Kupchak, Walter Davis & Bobby Jones just to name a few) during that span. Dean Smith was then & will always be the best College Basketball Coach ever in my opinion.

Good Luck This Season Four Corners!!! :0074

Yea blessed to live in this area with all the great rivalries..... past and present. I was at the UNC v Duke game at Carmichael (down 8 w/18 secs.left) when Walter Davis banked it in to go into OT (of course way before 3 pt. line!). Was at the NC State game when David Thompson went sky ward and fell busted his head wide open....Monte Towe, Phil Spence, Tommy Burleson, Mo Rivers were on that team in 1974. Went to go hear Coach Keatts speak at a Boys and GIrls Club breakfast last week....think he is going to do good things at State! Let's enjoy a great season of hoops!!! I like Roy but Dean will always be my man and you know from my aviator who my fav all time Heels is.

I WAS IN 2ND GRADE WHEN ALL THAT WAS GOING ON BUT I DO REMEMBER THEM BOTH. I WAS JUST GETTING INTO BASKETBALL AND GAMES LIKE THAT ARE WHY I LOVE IT...REMEMBER SPORTS ILLUSTRATED HAD FRAME BY FRAME PICS OF THE TOWE/THOMPSON PLAY THEN IT SHOWED THEM BANDAGING THOMPSON?s HEAD...HE WAS THE FIRST SUPERSTAR I CAN REMEMBER....AND GREYHOUNDS SHOT AGAINST DUKE WAS LEGENDARY 🍺

AS FOR AUBURN GAME, I THOUGHT THEIR POOR SHOT SELECTION AND QUICK SHOTS WITH PLAYERS OUT OF POSITION IS WHAT COST THEM CHANCE TO WIN

FT Made-Attempted 20-25 7-10

Only reason they're not losing by 20.
