Padre--i think we have the time problem corrected. the server is on mountain time and we were trying to use eastern time. after we get the program moved to our server we definitely will have the time issues corrected. thanks.

Rudy--not sure what you mean. could you be more specific?

TIME TO MAKE--i'll mess around with colors after we get it completely tested.

Stag--i'm not sure how much work is involved to get that done but will look into it. thanks for the nyi/nyr over 5.5 yesterday

dude--we had a time problem that night. hopefully it's corrected now.

jyapur--we allow players to keep their picks private if they prefer. this will be a good feature for services if they want to join.

I just tried to post several NHL plays and they did not post. My college FB plays went in with out a hitch (which is what I did before I tried the NHL picks).

Looks great, for the leader board how about showing the leaders ranked by %, as an option to dollars? Usually these go hand and hand but over time if somebody plays all 100 they could have a high % and not the dollars.

Just a thought

Great Site. Appreciate all the people who post here and its very interesting reading.

Since I am in software design and development (mainly financial institutions)
here are a few suggestions for the interface:

1. Once user has logged in the left side menu bar should not include the foll. options:

-- Sign Up
-- Login

2. The Side bar should include option:
-- Logout

3. On the Past Scores Page:
The default page is (should be) the score from the previous day ???

Also there can be a option to enter the date along with the calendar function (this is to ensure that people can enter the date even if the javascript option is turned off through the browser)

For checking Today's scores have a link for current scores and take them to current scores page.

4. I went to Player Search Screen. Out of 10 tries to go back to the Search Page i got page has expired 4 times. Maybe the
page history is being wiped out.

Also when I go to pending plays for a player
It would be more user friendly if the bets are sorted according to the game
NBA first , then NFL and then NHL
(going alphabetically)

Also for entering the date for Completed Bet details I am taken to the Detailed Records for xxxx.

The Date field (From and To) are disabled which forces the user to use the javascript calendar function. This again is based on the assumption that javascript is enabled.

Also another very user friendly thing to do would be to have a sort on all the field names.

So if u have the table like :

Date Sports Game Wager Results Net Units

Add a sort for Date Sports NetUnits <--+ or -ve

So If i want to go in ascending or descending order for date I can do that easily.

(The Sort has been incorporated for the User Name while searching for Member)


5. Coming to the My Account :

a. On the My Account Page for Modifying
the User information the mandatory
fields should have a * (in red) next to
the field which makes it easier for users
to understand which fields are mandatory

b. For all the fields : First Name, Last
Name, User Name and password the
programmer should check that blank space
(pressing on space bar) is not entered.
Each blank space is a character so for
the User Name the program will think i
have entered 6 characters when i have
entered 6 blank spaces and same for the
other fields including password. (If they
are using VB need the Trim function)

c. There should be a confirmatory password
field in Signup page as well when
password is changed in the My Account page

6. Same Sort function for the Leader Board Page. Should be able to sort Table by Member, Pct and Balance also.

Will test more and give back feedback.

Jack, did not read through all the post but maybe a column that list the offshore game number (today the 501 New Jersey is at 502 Indiana). I use the numbers a lot to compare different books. I copy the lines into "Excel" then use the "find" feature in Excel to compare lines more quickly.

Just a suggestion.

Opening a big can of "WhupAss" for the NBA and CBB Season. Got a new system and will use your program to test.

I can only assume you are gearing up to sell the package and this is your beta tesying our getting ready to run you own book.

Either way for all this site has given us I wish you the best.

Comment about rating plays.

You will probably notice alot(most) will post ALL their plays at the highest possible amount, this is the easiest way to get on the leaderboard. Perhaps you should limit it to one top play per sport per day. This would give a truer reflection of the games people REALLY like the best. Maybe even give the option of one 300 point, and one 200 point play per sport per day, with any additional plays in that sport being 100 points. This way on Sunday we could log on to see the top chosen NFL games by %, by $ and by top picks.

Someone else also mentioned that the leaderboard is based on $ leaders. A second leaderboard by % would be a great idea. Put a column in each of these leaderboards showing where the person stands in the other board. For example,(if) I was 5th in the % leader board and 85th in $ leader boardwould read:

5. poolguy (85) 20-10 67%

Overall an awsome product.

PS. if guys like fletcher don't want us to see their picks, that is fine. This is just for fun.
