as i stated in the thread header, that was my initial take on this fight.....i think we`ve seen an overreaction to the dlh meltdown...

i`m on hatton....

all that said,i think mayweather sr is a clown....as i think his brother roger is a clown(luckily for floyd jr,he`s just to talented for roger to f-ck up).........

i honestly believe that hatton has a real chance to just wear down pacquaio,as i think that bodywork and physicality is the way to beat manny...

what gives me pause is that i seriously believe that hatton will get little help from floyd sr....he`ll have to do on his own....anybody can train a fighter....preparing a guy for a particular style...plotting strategy...spending time looking at film...that`s a whole `nother animal...

roach vs mayweather sr?....imo,a huge disadvantage for ricky....and i think that roach recognizes what a buffoon mayweather is...

i hope it isn`t the difference...

click your heals and say theres no place like home, theres no place like home...yep you are dreaming. I'm thinking -500. I think it's a total mismatch. JMM is a valid p4p but even @135 he's still out of his weight class of 130. He didnt exactly dominate Diaz and casa. Those were very close fights and Casa is pretty washed up. Diaz is tough but very limited. Anywhos...easy fight for Floyd IMO. How can an aging Marquez deal with that speed and movement? He can't and he won't. Floyd by easy ud or even late stopage.

I don't think it's been confirmed yet, Floyd wants it at 145, Marquez wisely won't go over 143.

As a Marquez fan, I'm happy for him to finally make a big payday, maybe even get his own 24/7 show.

Of course, he will be crushed. The true pro bettors will make a fortune off this fight, while sentimental amateurs like me will donate to the sportsbooks' christmas parties with bets on Marquez. That's my main man, I can't bet against him.

Because of his accuracy and recently more entertaining style, he will hit Floyd a few times and gain credibility and crowd support in a losing effort, which still means a major payday against the Pac/Hatton loser. Marquez may lose his remaining big bouts, but he'll make a shitload of cash in the process.

I think I read somewhere Mayweather has an announcement planned for May 2, before the fight presumably, so that could be the finalized deal of Mayweather/Marquez.

Glad to see we're on the same side tony and weepaul :toast:

My biggest play will likely be 'wont go distance' rather than ITD for either side, as I think Pac's speed and volume will cut Hatton, while Hatton's strength and bodywork might force Pac to resign. Both guys are capable of a KO here. The only thing Pac has over Mayweather is volume, he doesn't hit as hard nor have his accuracy, but he will certainly throw more than Mayweather did.

Pac has speed but his power is overrated imo, he will catch Ricky coming in, but Ricky has very quick feet, and if he can deploy some basic head movement, he can get inside where Pac has no experience clinching and infighting, as weepaul pointed out. Mayweather was more skilled on the inside and stronger than Hatton, Pac is neither of those.

OOOOOOONE RICKY HATTON!

I am 100% in agreement with Tony.

This is not a skin and bones, weight weakened, weigh the same depleted weight as the weigh in, Fuckwit like DLH.
I believe Hatton would have killed DLH on that night and Pac now seems to have an unbeatable aura for some people now that he has slewn the mighty skin and bones dragon. I, for one, am not buying it.

Pac can be badly hurt and he has quit in the past.
Hatton has very quick feet and will be hitting Pac with elbows, laces, head as well as gloves. He will rough Pac up and potentially cut him up.
Hatton tends to cut easily himself and Pac's speed is blazing BUT Hatton is no slouch in the speed department although he may look slow compared with Pac.

I am loving this fight and will bet BIG on Hatton to win and Hatton to win ITD.

Most people know I bet $15,000 on pretty boy beating Hatton as I thought it was a sure thing.
Pac is nowhere near as skilled as Mayweather, especially when it comes to infighting.

I am not betting anywhere near that amount BUT I do think Hatton is a great bet.

Good Luck All!!!!!!!!!!:toast: :toast: :toast:
It does not get much more wrong than the above statement!!

I never thought he could shake Hatton to his boots like that.
