did you whine to your entourage every time you missed a shot? my god, these players are such prima donnas.

ok, let's just pretend you had an entourage.

i also think it's time to let the fans make noise. if silence is not required for a baseball player to hit a 95 mph slider, a tennis player can handle some crowd noise. i'd love to see fans count out asshole douchebag's pre-serve ball bouncing.

Well first off I never had an entourage when I played, but if I did it would be filled with supermodels and of course my best friend pointspred fred would be in the stands cheering me on.

I also had zero fans at any of my matches thus did not have to worry about any crowd noise.

On the men's side, most guys don't give a shit about noise and don't care if somebody is moving around in the crowd. And they don't really care if a crowd is "against them" as long as you aren't getting spit on or garbage thrown at you, pretty much all are fine.

On the women's side it is another story, they cry about everything.

And yes on both sides it gets a little out of control with the whining (more so for the women). I don't care about the crying and wimpering and yelling when they do it at themselves, but when they look at their coaches after every point and yell up at em, that gets annoying. It is really bad on the women's side but some of the men do it as well.

As for "noise", NCAA Tennis (especially for the men) there is a ton of stuff you have to deal with, noise everywhere, drunk frat dudes throwing beer cans, screaming, yelling, all kinds of shit. It is completely different than the pro tour when it comes to distractions. It is way over the top but players manage to deal with it. There are girls in the Top 50 that would have a nervous break-down if they had to deal with a NCAA crowd. So yes, any of these players can deal with "noise", they just choose to complain for no reason.

Hell I played some matches in University where a student literally WALKED BEHIND THE BASELINE DURING A POINT. And one time I hit a girl in the head with a serve because she literally stood next to the service box:ROFLMAO:

oh, the women are certainly worse, but the men are pretty bad, too. it was zverev's whining that prompting my post. hit a shot into the net and immediately turned to his box and cried about it. as if it was his coach's fault.

that reminds me... can't remember who it was, but a week or so ago an announcer was talking about swiatek and saying how, unlike most players, she doesn't whine all the time. and i found that funny, because she's just as bad as everyone else, if not worse. she just doesn't have as many bad stretches as the other players. but the rare times she is behind and not playing great, she is absolutely a whiny little bitch.

well obvi. you probably would have had to call the cops on him for stalking you. in fact, i think you meant "best friend AND #1 superfan."

was there more drama in the nhl forum after the oilers won? guess i'll have to take a look.

Speaking of noise and crying.........in Juniors (I was 17 years old) after a point I jumped the net and punched this kid (he was 16) in the face. There was a ton of noise and crying during that match let me tell ya😲

I got suspended 6 months and lost my spot on the National Team, but it was worth it, oh so worth it.:smilies2

Oh and funny side-note to that story.....about 7 years later I ran into his Father, and his Father actually thanked me for punching his kid in the face. He said "he deserved it". His Dad said he was out of control at 16 and needed to be taught a lesson, and apparently I taught him a lesson. Totally true story, of course it was a different time back then. Back then parents actually took responsibility for their kids actions, and didn't blame it on everyone else. His kid was out of control and needed a beating, and I gave it to him. Of course I didn't know his Father was on board, if so I would have done it in the first set and got it over with, instead of 2 hours later at 4-3 in the third set:LOL:

And if anybody is wondering why I punched him in the face (I knocked out one of his teeth, it was a solid uppercut, he went down hard)....we had a history, so it was building....

The final straw was on a changeover he kept running his mouth how he was going to beat me up in the parking lot after the match. I said "you ain't going to do shit, so just shut up". He then said "well let's do it right now then". I said "I am not going to get suspended, ya want to get beat-down after the match in the parking lot, fine let's do it, but I ain't fighting you on the court". He then got up and walked back to baseline to serve. Then he turned to the crowd (match was indoors, about 25 people watching) and yelled at the top of his voice "this little bitch said he was going to beat me up after the match, he's all talk, like he's going to do anything, fuck this guy". I then jumped the net, ran over to him and put him down with a right uppercut. His tooth flew out and blood poured out of his mouth right there in the doubles alley.

Yep, it was so worth it.
