That was pathetic and even Dana was pissed.
Roy Nelson is a fat piece of crap with NO SKILLS other than his belly.
I thought Kimbo was going to have to tap because he couldn't breath under that thing.

If Roy Nelson wins it all then Dana may hand him is contract and his walking papers in the same day if that is how he is gonna fight. I take that back, he didn't fight. He is just a FAT Clay Guida. Let me lay on you until the round ends and then talk trash afterwards.

As for Kimbo's performance:
I thought you could clearly see the work he put in as he was more patient and he stopped the takedowns in the first round and his foot balance was 10X better than before.
Roy does have submission skills and he never came close really getting anything done.
Kimbo strikes were nice as that is his only game.

As for Kimbo on his back well yes he blows, but who would not when "The Moon" is on top of you.

The only thing I took out of that was Dana was not pleased at all with Roy's showing and that Roy has NO SKILLS.

Agree with kegray.....as stated earlier I have never been impressed with Nelson, never. And this fight did not change my mind. Arlovski toyed with Nelson, I mean just toyed with him. If Roy somehow manages to make the final (which I doubt) and somehow gets a UFC contract, he will get destroyed in the UFC. There are a ton of guys in the UFC that would maul him. And let us remember the HW division isn't exactly stacked. I mean can you imagine lower ranked guys like Gabriel Gonzaga or Cheick Kongo fighting him? Wouldn't even be close. Shit I'd even take the farmer Cro Crop to beat Nelson. Nelson has always thought he was top 10 in the world, problem is when he fights any decent fighter he gets schooled.

The funny thing is Roy can win and move on to fight on Fight Night Card.

Guess where Kimbo will be. Already holding a contract fighting on 107 PPV card.:mj07:

Kimbo doesn't have time for the bums in this house. He is ready for the big boys.
Bring on Cro Cop.:142smilie

And by the way.

If Kimbo doesn't come back onto the show SOON.

Ratings :sadwave:

The show is boring enough already as not a thing going on in the house or they are not showing it and Rampage trash talking while funny is meaningless.

kegray you gotta stop dude.....I don't want to see Kimbo in UFC, because there really is nobody he can beat, I mean name me one guy in the TOP 30 in HW division that he could beat? I really can't think of any:shrug:

My grandma knows all ya have to do is take Kimbo down and you win:mj07:

If you go back and watch the Arlovski-Nelson fight then you will same thing as tonight.
That fat piece of crap can't take anyone to the ground unless they help him.
Arlovski got bored of Nelson's fat belly pushing on him against the cage and tried for his own takedown only to have that fat f*ck fall down second.
Tonight Kimbo got away from the cage and got takendown and the 2nd time Kimbo tried for a knee during a clinch and got takendown.
Nelson is fat and lucky.
If that fight stays on its feet then Kimbo picks him apart.
Also Kimbo looked like he had much better cardio tonight as well.

Kimbo has improved in every area of the game from what I saw but his ground game still blows.

i thought roy took it easy on kimbo. it seemed like he knew that all he needed was positional control and pitty pat punches to win. he even said as much before the fight.

he could of turned kimbo to mush. hopefully, dana's negative remarks will force roy to put some effort in next time.

Well I guess your Grandpa is not Cro Cop.:142smilie
He would never take him to the ground.

Also name one fighter in this house that can win in the HW division because I don't think he exsists.

Anyone without a ground game...I'd give him a legitimate shot at beating guys like Cro Cop, Hardonk, Kongo, etc...

Also beating someone in the HW division is not the point.
Sure maybe there are very few chances at wins, but does Dana care about that for a few fights. Hell No.

Like I have said before, Baroni ain't in the UFC to become the champion. He is there to entertain the folks, just like Kimbo would be.

You have to admit, knowing the skill level of a Baroni or a Kimbo doesn't mean it is not going to be entertaining.:142smilie

good point kegray.......Kimbo cardio did look good:cool:

and ok fine.....I'll agree with Bucs and kegray, I guess Kimbo would have a shot at beating the farmer.

muhr......you are not serious are you? Do you really think Roy was just "taking an easy"? You have to have a ton of talent to walk in the cage and "toy with your opponent" and Roy Nelson is not one of those guys.

Now if Carwin, Dos Santos or Randy walked into the cage and decided to take an easy that is one thing, but not Roy Nelson.

Roy Nelson has never beaten anyone, I mean he has a lot of wins, but for fucks sake Monson even beat him easilykurby

The strange thing is Kimbo says he is fighting in December. Is it on the Fight Night card or the PPV.

The way they hyped his possible return after the loss makes me think he is clearly coming back into the house.
Pretty lame if they are going to use him as a marketing tool to keep watching then never bring him back in.
If he losses again then why the hell would Dana put him on a PPV card?

Go figure. Something has got to give, but if they mentioned him again during the show then he better come back. Either bring him back or don't mention him and move on.
Some of us watch the show no matter who is on it.
If Joe Public isn't watching without him then screw them.

Kimbo loss left himself open for Dana to bash him, but I think Dana likes Kimbo after meeting him and getting know what he is about as a person and his willingness to learn and admit he needs training.
I think Kimbo could have been a force if he would have started this 10 years ago.

did you watch monson vs. nelson? i haven't, but from what i've read, nelson lost a bs decision.

monson is a great positional grappler and yet nelson out-grappled him.

nelson can be boring, but his grappling is at a high level. he's a bb under renzo gracie. he beat mir a few years ago at a grappler's quest.

muhr.....do yourself a favour DO NOT watch that fight, it was very very boring. And to be perfectly honest I thought Monson won, but it was so hard to watch I could be wrong:142smilie

As for Roy and his great ground game, I haven't seen it:shrug:

But going back to my point.......I don't think think Roy was "taking it easy" on Kimbo.

I just don't see why people give kudos to Nelson (and I am not talking about this fight) I just don't see him being that good, I just don't. I mean name one decent fighter he's beaten:shrug:

And Brad Imes doesn't count:mj07:
