muhr.....do yourself a favour DO NOT watch that fight, it was very very boring. And to be perfectly honest I thought Monson won, but it was so hard to watch I could be wrong:142smilie

I agree it was hard to watch but if you do watch it then ask yourself this:
How bad was Kimbo on the ground tonight after seeing how Monson handled Nelson when he is on top of him.
Sorry but there is llittle to no ground game for FAT.
Monson gets up once when Nelson tries for a failed armbar. Other than that Monson could not get him off him.

I just watched it again somehow and I just don't see how Monson won either the first or second round.
Not sure either fighter deserved the round in the 1st.

Funny line when Petruzelli says at the end that he thought it was a great fight.:142smilie

Stick to fighting Seth because saying it was a great fight doesn't make it great.

"the bunker"
t thought monson won rd 3 more convincingly than nelson won rds. 1 or 2.....

still,i gave it to nelson 2-1........

again, i say the judging in this sport is all over the map...

it`s ashamed kimbo`s street fighting talent doesn`t translate into mma...because he really is a very bad mofo....he really knows how to handle himself in a bare knuckles fight...not easy to stand in like a boxer when unpadded bricks are coming at your head...

the guy has some serious stones...

If Roy Nelson was Canadian then Kick would have him in the top ten. To say he is a bad fighter is just silly. He wins this thing easily and i doubt that will make Dana happy. You can tell he rubs Dana the wrong way. Running over to Dana after the fight asking for a cheese burger may be funny to Nelson but his weight is what is turning Dana off.

Nelson wanting Burger King after the fight.
Big Suprise there. I am guessing Burger King to him is fine dinning.

And no way does this guy just want a cheeseburger or he would not look like that.
He wants 2 or 3 cheeseburgers with some fries and probably some nuggets.

that was most assuredly the weakest TKO in the history of MMA. Kimbo was hurt in the least; he just couldn't get up with lardo laying on him. what a bunch of weak punches.

Roy Nelson has never beaten anyone, I mean he has a lot of wins, but for fucks sake Monson even beat him easily

I disagree 100%...anywhere but Florida Nelson outpoints him..

I got the fight on DVD ...the announcers said they thought Nelson won and the fan's boo'd the fight and the decision 29-28. It was an awefull fight to watch..slow....boring...Nelson moreless LNP...but to say Monson beat him or even easily...easily is just wrong. Nelson spent most of the time on top and while he didnt do much damage...Monson did next to nothing. Local guy with the better physique won the fight on the cards at the local venue. ATT Florida at its best....

...I didnt make it past page 1 before I hit QUOTE made the above post. But glad to I see others also thought Monson lost that fight vs Monson. Saves me from rewatching the LNP to be sure I wasnt on a different planet.

Oddessa as stated earlier, the "fight" if you want to call it a fight was so boring nobody should have won, both Nelson and Monson should have lost.

Bottom line....Nelson ain't that good.
