Last 3 posted fight wagers 3-0 + $ 2,935

Spent some time now looking at this fiight.

There is no question that David Haye deserves a shot at Klitschko. Hayes is young and reckless and if Klitschko gets careless he can be KOd by Hayes.

But David Haye is going from the Cruiserweight Division to Heavyweight and his first fight is with Klitschko . May be a better payday than what he is used to but not a well thought out plan to advance and take the Heavyweight title.

I have bet against Klitschko against I dont know how many punchers with a chance and lost wagers I cant even remember now how many times.

Klitschko will defend himself and use that wicked ass jab to keep Haye away.

Klitschko will set Hayemaker up and win the fight just like he always does.

This is free fawking money

I hate it when its this easy !

Hi Scott,

I think this fight will be a very interesting one but maybe it will not take for a long time until one of both is KO.

I have some money on Klitschkow at -195(betfair) but maybe hedge later on...

Haye knocks Monte Barrett out in the fifth round.

Haye is one of the dirtiest fighters I have watched on tape in awhile. He constantly rabbit punchs behind the head, and hit Monte when he was on his knees on the canvas. Then when Monte returned the favor, the ref takes a point away.

Barrett landed some very hard punchs on Haye and had him in trouble several times.

If he is that open to hard shots it will be good night sweet prince.

Klitschko fought Barrett 10 years ago and KOd him.

I will be making some prop bets, but for right now I wanted to get down on Klit before the -260 goes up anymore. I can see it going to -340 possibly.

Gotta love heavyweights.

Only thing is that Haye is a cruiserweight. He looks too light to take on Klit right now. Too young and too supid also.

In NY he held up a shirt with Haye holding the heads of both the Klitschko brothers.

I know you got to hype the fight, but there is a point where your just stupid.

"He will ends up in the ring and I will teach him his behavior". Klitschko on Hayes running his mouth

BT ? What would happen if you do get a chance to fight David Haye?

SC ? Man, David Haye looks like an amateur fighter in there. His name is the ?Hayemaker?, and that's all he does is throw big shots. Listen, that's like sparring to me, fighting him would be like sparring to me. We dismantled powerful fighters, David Haye is not a smart fighter, he's just a puncher. Boxing consists of power shots, ability, ring generalship, and boxing skills. David Haye only has one of those, power. Take that away from him and he has nothing.

Haye is Going For The Quick Knockout With Klitschko
Mark Vester on 05-16-2009.

David Haye is planning to go for the knockout in the very first round when he steps in the ring with WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on June 20 in Germany. The British fighter does not trust the judges and really believes that anything less than a knockout will result in a decision loss.

"The whole plan is to knock him out as quick as possible," Haye said to PA Sport. "I don't want this fight to go to points because they'll rip me off. It's not a secret that you have to knock out someone in Germany in some cases so I can't afford for this one to go to points.

"If I knock him down in every round they'll find a way for Wladimir to walk away with a victory so I'll have to knock him down for 15 seconds and not 10 because I wouldn't be surprised if they bring in a big pal of theirs and he ends up giving him a real slow count."

Haye wants to end the era of the Klitschko brothers in order to save the heavyweight division. He believes the two brothers are destroying the weight division.

"The heavyweight division has been a disappointment for a while now since Wladimir has been fighting all these anonymous nobodies that nobody cares about," said Haye. "It is killing boxing. It makes me sick watching them fight, it distresses me. I saw Wladimir fight Sultan Ibragimov in a bar in Miami when and I was just disgusted with what I saw.

"There must have been 200 people in this bar that had come out to watch the heavyweight champion of the world and they were walking out and shaking their heads at the fight. Heavyweight boxing should have you on the edge of your seat somehow he's turned it into a whole other sport."

After fighting Wladimir, and then big brother Vitali, he plans to capture any of the other remaining title belts.

"Normally you can judge how good an era was by the heavyweight champion at the time," Haye continued. "Muhammad Ali was a great during his era, then there was Tyson in the 80s and then Lennox. But since then there has been a lull in the division so heavyweight boxing needs me to win this fight and win it excitingly."

I would be very happy about a first round knockdown in general, as I have some money on it at a nice quote.

But I think that fight will be very interesting to watch. :0corn

what do you mean interesting ?

alot of people think it could be a boring fight with Klit holding him at bay and wearing him down into the later rounds.

One thing that is likely is that this bout won't go the route. Haye does have a punchers chance. He's quick, explosive and has heavy hands. We all know Klitschko can be hurt. But Kilitschko is so big and with his educated and heavy jab he should be able to control things. And of course, Klitschko can certainly hurt Haye, too. Logic points to Klitschko KO probably by the halfway point of the fight.

I hope that Haye will be very agressive at the beginning, to get K. down. This should bring us some ver active rounds and maybe a KO in the middle as if Haye is to agressive K. should be able kock him down.

If you look down through the list of fighter that Klit has fought that were heavy handed and in some cases reckless , they did not end up too good.

The ones that stand out to me are Francis Botha the white buffalo. Hard puncher with a punchers chance. Klitschko cleaned his clock. And that was
7 years ago.

Another one is Samuel Peter. A much better fighter than Hayes is at this point in his career.

Sultan , McCline, Rahman . All the same. None could beat Klit. Well Brewster did in 2004 but Wladimir got his revenge on him.

Klitschko has been to war with heavy handed punchers. Emanuel Stewart is a great trainer.

Such a crowd would be the biggest attendance for a boxing show on mainland Europe in history and break the postwar European record of 57,000 set by Ricky Hatton?s bout against Juan Lazcano at the City of Manchester Stadium last May.

?I always wanted to fight in a soccer stadium in front of such a big crowd,? Klitschko said. ?Now this dream comes true.? Bernd B?nte, Klitschko?s manager, said the choice of venue showed the significance of the bout, in which Haye, the former WBC, WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion from South London, will try to emulate Evander Holyfield by moving up to win the world heavyweight title. ?It is one of the greatest arenas in Europe,? B?nte said. ?We had different offers, both in Germany and Europe, and we chose Schalke because of the package.?

But while the gate receipts alone could top ?6 million, Haye is unlikely to see any of that money because of the huge concessions he had to make to ensure the bout takes place.

Haye says that he will be getting the biggest purse of his career, but it is understood that the only money he will receive will be part of the sum paid by Setanta Sports, who will screen the bout live in the United Kingdom. Part of the Setanta money will go to Klitschko, who will also get the gate receipts, lucrative television deals from HBO in the United States, RTL in Germany, plus worldwide rights including Russia and his home country of Ukraine.
