So Cal
I kinda remember J.West going to Memphis for some office gig. I'm not sure but maybe someone will correct me.

Line @ Greek is LA-300 Orl+250

I agree with the board. LA in 6 sounds about right.

Howard can't stay out of foul
trouble. Bynum, Odom & Gasol can all get in the paint and draw the foul. Gasol has been a stud every nite. I really think Howard will have his hands full.

No other player for the magic
Is worth mentioning. Mismatches all around favoring Lakers. Yeah I know Magic won
The reg season series but that means nothing.

Lakers are not satisfied with the conference title. LY expectations were low. Local sports radio host had a poll
LA fans predicted a 41-41 season and missing the playoff. So the finals was nice. I've heard this whole team at 1 point or another reference LY's finals as motivation to get back and win. Lakers are focused.
After last nites win during the western conference trophy was handed out they look very serious and there was no smiles in that interview.
I mean u just won the West smile for christ sake.

Phil the Zen Master Vs
Stan Van Gundy. LMAO
Whatta mismatch.

Lakers win it easily.

whats that have to do with my statement? lol.

Becuase jerry west believes that lebron is the best player, which he is, you call him a hater.

Everyone know west is one of the best talents scouts in the nba......

Kobe had a better cast around him a few years back and was crying like a little bitch demanding a trade.

The fact is lebron is better then than your little ass raping hero...........

Time will only tell if kobe is so great he can win without shaq.

The fact is that kobe is no jordan or even close. Becuase he has two big men that can score and he is still not had a championship.

It is not that people like myself think that kobe is a bad player it is laker sack lovers like yourself and their attitude that everybody chokes and sucks if they are not kobe and the boys.

laker fans are in the same league as raider fans.

I guess the fact that the lakers dominated nuggets, jazz and houston during the season did not matter.
It was not predictable they would win the series.

Orlando dominating cavs during the regular season did not matter either.

suddenly becuase it is the lakers regular season does not matter. Perhaps with that thinking you should play for the sweep.

Mark my word this is not going to be a walk in the park. orlando is by far the most resiliant team in the post season. They have battled hard all post season showing that they have great heart.

If they had nelson this would be talking about and orlando sweep. This matchup is similar to the portland match-up for the lakers....

This wiil be a good series to watch........

My money will be unbiased becuase I am not a fan of any nba team.

I think the Lakers will win but I wouldn't be on them for the series at that price.

Orlando does give them some matchup problems. Bynum won't play many minutes in this series because of matchups, it would mean that either he or Gasol would have to guard Turk and that's not happening.

The one matchup I think will make the difference is Lewis being guarded by Lakers three.(Assumming Odom guards Turk at 4) Lewis showed in the Celts series that he can take smaller guys down low, if he will do that against the Lakers he will make the Lakers have to doulbe team him thus opening up the Magic threes.

I'll be very interested to see how Gasol handles the pick in roll with Howard and Turk. I think Howard moves to quickly out there and could give Gasol fits rolling down the lane.

Worry for Magic is Gasol getting Howard in foul trouble.

Haven't mentioned Kobe but there's no need to, he gets his no matter what but I will say with Howard in the game it takes a little from Kobe's drives but not enough to matter.

Series will more than likely come down to if one teams bench dominates the others.

This is all my opinion but it's what I see.

For the series price I'll be taking Magic but I expect the Lakers to win.

refs will be all over lakers sak. Just like they were early wit the cavs.

The refs could not stay on the cavs becuase they were clearly being outplayed by the magic and fixing was looking obvious with crawford.

Read about Phil Jackson.
His credentials are amazing.
The guy should go to the hall of fame a minute after he retires. A living legend.

Stan Van Gundy has done nothing in his career and his own superstar player questioned his coaching decisions just 2weeks ago.

I'm a life long basketball fan
Ncaa and nba ball .
That edge alone will win the series.
Take it to the bank.

should be:

LA -700:mj07:
Orlando +625:scared
of course Im over exaggerating it

Kobe should be home licking his lips....onething we can count on.....they will be some very high scoring games, Magic shoots well, Lakers do also...neither team thrives on defense.
Magic run is over and they will get a rude awakening in the finals. They have been impressive and very hard to figure out this far...Van Gundy flat out out coaching Mike Brown(who shouldnt even be a NBA head coach IMO) but it wont be so easy to outcoach the Zen Master

Why would Kobe be licking his chops? Cleveland was a much better matchup for LA. Orlando has CLEARLY shown they can play on the road. They had LA down under 1 minute in LA this year, but ended up losing.

You think Cleveland couldn't defend Orlando, what do you think a much more weaker defense is going to do? I think LA matches up OK with Orlando, but they still don't have anyone to guard Alston(remember, LA struggled against the small/fast PG of Houston, Brooks).

Anyways, I think this series goes 7 games. Lakers win.

Meh, not a big fan of Phil Jackson. Dude hasn't ever had to prove that he can coach. He's been handed teams and talent everywhere he's been.

There are alot of major flaws in playoff basketball that Jackson suffers, IMO....specificly the handling of TO'.s

Sorting out egos and making players out of the likes of Dennis Rodman and Trevor Ariza equates to good coaching I believe.

I do think he's a good coach, definately better than just about everyone in the league other than Pops, I just think he's put on a higher pedastool then he really should be.

I don't think comparing Ariza to Rodman really does much for me.

I pretty much think that Phil has gotten away with just hand picking his teams and the talent on them.

We all saw what he could do with the Lakers when Shaq wasn't there, as well as just before Gasol came.

Congratulations tulah you win the dumbest post ever award!! Phil Jackson not a great coach? Is Pat Riley a great coach how about Chuck Daley or Kc Kones how about Sparky Anderson and so on....hate to post negative comments but that one cannot be over looked! Maybe 5 or 6 more titles can sway you, just maybe.

Get your facts straight, the Lakers were on a ROLL and first in the west with Bynum before Gasol joined the fold. They were really comming together. You forget so easily.

When has Phil Jackson ever had to prove he can coach? Greg Popovich is light years better than Phil Jackson IMO.

You are contradicting yourself over and over.

You say Phil isnt a good coach because hes always had talent.

lets see who Pop has had.. Duncan, Parker, Ginobli, Finley, Horry, the list goes on.. as a matter of fact, if that team played in a triangle offense, they would probably be more succesful.

Your hall of fame Coach Pop also got embarrassed in the playoffs by a terrible Mavs team.

Popovich and company have drafted those players, they weren't on the roster when he got there. Pop builds through the draft, then they sign a role player here and there. Phil just waits on the sidelines for a job opening where there's a star hall of fame player and pieces with him.

If it weren't for the Grizzlies LITERALLY giving the Lakers Gasol, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

You honestly are going to say Finley and Horry? They both have and were over the hill for about 6-7 years now...plus, mentioning them in the same sentence as some of the guys mentioned in this thread is a JOKE.

Also, Pop didn't have Ginobili, everyone with a brain knew that Dallas was going to win that series.
