Never tried a prime rib.... it a big piece of meat for a single person and not good reheated cause then its past your desired cookness...how did you do it :shrug:

It was so easy. We bought a boneless 3 pounder. Coated it with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. In the oven (meat at room temp) at 450 for 15 minutes. Then turned the oven down to 320. Left the prime rib in there until it hit 125. I pulled it out and foiled it in the pan for 20 minutes. I kept the thermo in there and after foiling it rose to 135. Slice and serve.

ovens come in easy and handy sometimes :D

Was gonna smoke my Christmas turkey on the egg but it came out just fine and easy in the oven :0074

Agreed. However I'm looking for a small used egg within driving distance of Green Bay. For some reason my wood smoker doesn't do well at 2 degrees with a minus 15 wind chill...:142smilie

BGE are the way to go during the winter.

I went to use mine about 2 weeks ago and it was frozen shut :sadwave:
