My girlfriend and I will definately be attending this year. Now, I was wondering about the cost. The 100.00 gets us what? (Room/no room just party?......etc.) I would be driving down with her maybe on Wed. and staying through Sun. When do we need to make the reservation. I would like to stay where most of the cappers are and get to know them. Who is the person to talk to to get a room special? I can't wait! (Have you thought of having a World Series party?)

the $100 is for the party only. last year i collected $100 from everybody ($5400) and i was billed something like $5350. they definitely know how to average it out. if we have over 100 it might be a little cheaper.

Jack, that is true, however I am 2 minutes from National and there are now 2 airlines flying there nonstop (National and Am.West). Having done this route 3-4 times a year, I have learned that I much prefer National, especially on the return trip. Nothing kills me more than getting into BWI late at night and still being 90 minutes from home once you factor in getting the car.

If you go out of BWI and use longterm parking, I **HIGHLY** recommend you check out www.preflightparking.com. They are off 110, have shuttles that follow you to your spot, and their web site usually has 1 free night coupon. I have used them the last 5 or 6 times I have gone out of BWI.

Hey Jack Last year I found airfare for $169 round trip per.per. add $100 each way to up grade to first class when you arrive at the airport if its available that totals $369 round trip. I don't know if you know that some airlines offer the upgrade at time of check in if its available we have been very lucky with that I don't know about you,but that flight is KILLER so just a little tip when you arrive at the airport get into 1st class line and ask for the upgrade, I wouldn't pay $700 one way for 1st class but $100 is well worth it for that long flight.

Phil, i'm going to need a fairly accurate count and the deposit sometime in october so the plans for the party can be made.

we need a minimum of 30 to get the same conference room we had last year, and that room holds a maximum of 75 people. over 75, it's a whole new ball game because we move to a larger room (i think we will get over 75 this year).

[last year we had one big screen TV but this year i'm insisting on two and it won't affect the price individually]

tara, i hate that long flight too and found first class with national for 712.50 RT. all the other airlaines started at 1500, so i'm happy with that. i guess i'm not as good of a shopper as you women

rooms at the bigger properties that have quality accomadations are already sold out for superbowl weekend, so make your reservations NOW. you can always cancel with little or no cost.

airfare can be bought almost anytime. the rooms are the biggest problem.

Obviously I will be there again. Had a great time last time and Chioma has already said she would love to go again. Hope to get to spend more time with the guys I barely got to meet like barfly, Gatorbait, kosar, Hoops, ironlock and, of course, Jack and Nolan.

Trust me, folks, if you come out and show up to meet everyone at the book, for dinner and for the party you will have a blast.

spoke with sunset ,they are 68% sold i was told need a list in the next 3 weeks to have rooms blocked and special price donot do it on your own if you are coming and want to stay there put reply here and will need to hold rm yourself but have to let group sales know so go through me,as for mega resorts gone already jeri said they have been sold out for 2 months as well as other top mega resorts on strip,even smaller ones like ballays and harrahs are booked. no time to drag this year rooms will be gone before mid aug.

i guess it's not a bad idea to send your deposits now so we can get a true count on the amount of people attending. the deposit is non-refundable because once we book the room, they will be charging me whether you show or not.

here how the rooms will work i need to have people tell me they want a room at sunset,i am meeting them in mid july with aprox number and she will block them off at a group rate and then they will be under group sales for madjacksports superbowl party i will post contact name then you must call and hold room under your name,but to get that rate you have to be our block rooms are tight and i will have the best rate. so say if you are intrested or not.

Fletcher, sorry scratch that. Got a room today at Ballys.

For those of you that may not want to stay at Sunset Station, thought I would let you know there are still Strip rooms available though they are selling out fast. Looked on Expedia and lots of places seem to have "reasonable" rooms for that weekend if you want to stay on the Strip. Just did a quick search for 4 night rates. When I talked to my host at Ballys today, he said he has half as many rooms available now that he did two weeks ago, and thats not many.
