Rahman

Rahman

hey Boxlocks,
did you see the Rahman fight? What a pathetic fight for Rahman. If he wasn't fighting a 39 year old blown up cruiserweight he would of been knocked out in 7. If the effort he put into training for this fight is the best he can do than he better hang it up now before he gets hurt.

Unfortunatly I didn't see the fight, but I read that Cole dominated the middle rounds so this was not a case of bad judging.

I also read that Rahman's win over Cole was a stepping stone on his way back to the top. I don't see it that way, he lost 4 out of 10 rounds in his back yard to a scrub. In my onion that performance hurt his career more than it helped it.

They butted heads in RD 1 causing a cut. ALL wagers should have been ruled NO ACTION and Refunded. Even the Total. It was a No Contest/No Decision.

We'll have to wait and see who Rahman fights next. If it's a quality opponant and the price is right, I might play against him. To be fair he probably took Cole likely and didn't train very hard, but after almost losing he should learn his lesson and be in better shape for the next fight.

How can Rahman even think about not being in top shape for any fight at this point in his career ? He should know that by now.

I think that Rahman is a guy that made some fairly big cash with the 4 fights and he is just heading down the payday road.

I would have to believe that they will set Rahman up with a
solid contender. Rahman will enter the fight not in the best shape.
take a quick nap and good night sweet prince.

Can't wait for his next fight. Knowing him probably be in 2005 so he can go party in Vegas.

thanks

As already posted in this forum, Peden stopped Campbell in the 5th. But we hit our big play of the night as Holmes won a close unanimous decision over Toygonbaev.

Descent week, not a huge profit but it sure feels good after the Tapia bullsh*t last week.

Waiting for lines on some fights this weekend, will post my plays asap.

Burton fought hard but in the end Diaz pounded Burton
in a knockout.

Diaz is a tough fighter. Burton was bigger and looked stronger.

I have been watching to learn when to take the underdog. Burton had a good shot at it. Could have gone either way until that last round. Seemed well worth the chance.

Cardenas failed to make weight for his fight with Calderon which means they will only be fighting 10 rounds since it's not a title fight. But we still have two solid over plays going tonight, may add a 1/2 unit to Dieppa-Guardia.

KOD
Diaz fought the perfect fight by working his jab from both sides, and rarely gave Burton a chance to get off with his constant lateral movement. Diaz would get off first and then move to the side turning Burton and not giving him a chance to get set to punch. I was also impressed with Diaz' ability to switch stances with ease and often caught Burton as he tried to switch with him.

But Burton is a good fighter and at +275 I couldn't pass up the chance. He had Diaz rattled a few times but was never able to finish due to the reasons above.

Last year my dog category started off very slow (0-5 I think) but came back in the end to profit 3.5 units or so. Remember these dog picks are very small plays. I'm playing them to win a half unit, not risking a half unit.

Sorry I missed ur post about this, that I just created a new thread on. Heres the scoops anyway.

Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon's WBO minimumweight title will not be at stake tonight at the Mario Quijote Morales Coliseum in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, after challenger Edgar "Tun Tun" Cardenas' failure to make the 105 pound limit. The fight will now be a non-title ten-rounder. 10 ROUNDS.

If this remains true and it remains a 10 Round bout, the wagers on either fighter ARE valid, but any wager on the OVER/UNDER .............which was 11.5..............are CANCELLED. I imagine most sportsbooks used the same number as they are mostly clones. Don't get fuked if it ends in a 10 RD dec, which is what is most likely, unless Cardenas is so outa shape that he cant even go 10.

Good luck 2nite.

"the bunker"
we got tiozzo in

we got tiozzo in

it was a little dicey, but,a little home court advantage can sometimes go a long way......small win...looks like dropping to lt heavy may have drained him a bit,as we thought....still,had to like him fighting in front of all those fellow surrender monkeys...

close majority decision.....after that f`ed up nate campbell giveaway,i`ll take it....

hope you had `em,also...

Congrats on Tiozzo
As you know I really wanted to take him, but I couldn't get over the fact that he had to lose 20 pounds for this fight. I'm glad you cashed in after your bad beat. Looks like Dieppa ko'd Guardia in the first round, sure didn't see that coming.
