i guess they changed the distance on calderon/cardenas again...

the fight went 1:33 into the 11th.....

non-title fight and they still scheduled a twelver.....that`s odd...

once again GW , u beat me to it. The fight remained as scheduled oddly enough so over unders remained valid. Sometime sfightnews makes alotta mistakes. I had a result on Box Rec f;lipped 1x as well. I waited till this AM to be sure that it was actullay a 12 rounder. It was.

"the bunker"
i looked at it

i looked at it

but it was a little rich for my blood.....i don`t think it was a bad wager.....as a matter of fact,if you were gonna wager on the o/u for this one,you had to go over...

when these o/u`s get anywhere near -300,it would have to be an outrageously safe bet for me to weigh in....

and in truth,b.l. had the right side....that`s why they call it gambling,i guess...no sure things...

As far as I'm concerned the whole thing is bullsh*t. Joey himself said that the structure of this bout had been changed and that all wagers on the total would be no action. I don't care if it was rescheduled again for 12 rounds, it wasn't for the title anymore and that changes the motivation of both fighters and makes it a completely different fight.

At least we hit the Morel-Rojas over.

If you read his posts he CLEARLY stated that "if" it was 10 rounds the bet was off. "if", well it turned out that it was 12 so anyone who bet the over lost. Had it went 12 you would have been given the win so I don't see how anyone can bitch.

This really doesn't even warrent a response but I would hope this is sufficient. Fightnews posts bad info , so I gave you guys an early heads up in case the rounds are changed in posting forums and then you come back at me with this 'motivation' thing on top of it. The guys that bet under got paid just like you would have if the fight didnt end in the 11th. You can look back to a past Tech Dec that ended in RD 8 where YOU got the better of it that night and mentioned it in your posts. I know losing sux, but don't blame the messenger. If it went 12 you would have gotten paid.

Happens often.

'Steve Forbes beat David Santos by 12 RD SD 9/17/2000
Pechanga Resort & Casino, Temecula, CA, USA
IBF Super Featherweight Title becomes vacant when Forbes can't make weight.'Title on the line for Santos only.'

All wagers stood regardless of 'MOTIVATION.' And Pinnacle, Oly, 5Dimes and about every major book offfered this fight and it stood as the final result. And I for one got bet over and the favorite heavily.

Casamayor beat Bernard Harris by UD 10 RDS 7/22/2000
Non-title fight since Harris failed to make weight. Bout changed amt of RDs and wagers on OVER -UNDER refunded.

Rosendo Alvarez did that against Ricardo Lopez as well and it stayed 12 round bout.
This fight almost didn't come off. At the official weigh in, Lopez made weight easily by scaling in at 103 1/2 pounds. His opponent could not match his effort. Alvarez stepped onto the scale at 108 1/4, a full division above the limit, and was immediately stripped of his WBA 105 lb. title. Lopez could have turned down the fight at that point, and even threatened to. At some point in the next 24 hours, a deal was struck: the fighters would re-weigh in with a new limit of 115 pounds...3 full weight divisions over the 105 lb. ranks from which both fighters hailed. Alvarez made the weight, by one pound, and the fight was on. The new scenario: Lopez's WBC Minimumweight (formerly Strawweight) title would not be on the line. The newly vacated WBA Minimumweight title would be on the line, but only Lopez was able to win it. If Alvarez won the bout, he would remain titleless, having failed to make 105 at the official weigh-in.

Manny Pacquiao beat Medgoen Singsurat by KO 3
WBC Flyweight Title
Referee: Lupe Garcia
Pacquiao fails to make weight, lost title at the scales but does that make the bout or total not count? Of course not.

'Perhaps it was that extra potato or serving of rice and beans. Whatever the reason it was 3/4 of a pound too much for IBF light flyweight champion Mauricio Pastrana. The Columbian boxer failed to make the 108 weight limit for his title fight with challenger Carlos Murillo and was stripped of his crown before he even climbed through the ropes.Pastrana hammered Murillo, and referee Richard Steele was forced to halt the contest at 2:50 of the ninth-round.'

The bout in question was graded as it should have been. I am sorry you feel the way you do.

I obviously didn't make myself clear, that was not a shot at Joey.
Everywhere I checked Saturday had the fight scheduled for 10 rounds, and I was pissed that they changed it AGAIN without giving me a chance to buy out of the bet. I posted the change and pulled the play from my page, but I didn't cover myself assuming the wager would be void. I wasn't bitching about the way the wager was graded, just pissed that the fight was rescheduled again making the wagers valid. It was my mistake, next time I will cover my ass just in case.

Sorry for making it look like I was throwing blame, I was just venting a little, my bad.

Its all kool. I misunderstood the post as well. I left the total off the board when I found out it may be changed and I jacked the fav another couple humdred cents I think. Fightnews and some of these sites are brutal sometimes with their incorrect round stoppages and misinformation. Ettiene vs Tyson cancel then go was sportsbook nightmare. Esp when he tatoo'ed his face, the number went as high as -700 and as low as -350, then they cancelled and then fought. Anyway good luk in the upcoming bouts.- Joey

Making the Barrett-Guinn over a 1/2 unit play.

There has been some serious line movement on Guinn and the under. I still really like the over, but to be safe I will play it small.

Risking .17 to win .58 on Barrett

Box, great call on both picks! What piece of sh$t judge had Guinn? I'm not sure Guinn won one round and he nearly got knocked out.
