Imagine if he was taking a pill to make his body more slippery? My goodness how do you test that? Do they have Vaseline test? Could this be the new wave of the future to get a job in this country? Passing the Vaseline test? When i was boss in the carpenters union i did have some slippery employees. Something has to be done.

several people have been looking at past fights and finding matt hughes and rich franklin getting their shoulders greased as well. the guy who greased hughes was stitch duran, the cutman, so gsp isn't an isolated incident. if this situation is to be made a big deal than it should perhaps be broadened a little to include other guilty parties.

Still thinking about the Mask dying in the car accident.

I loved how he "tapped out" each time he shook hands with someone.

What a great way to continue personal and company branding in a subtle way.

I think I may take a poster with me R.I.P. The Mask to the April 1st fight here. :)

i thought it was really disturbing how on MMA live they barely did anything for him and the panel didn't say one word about it. He sat on this panel numerous times. It is possible they filmed the segment earlier but i highly doubt it. Maybe it was to fresh and they decided not to say anything. I hope this company doesn't fall apart now with people pulling at each other. Is it possible he had a will at this young of an age? From what i saw on the show he was the main designer. Lets face it he was the brains behind everything. Punk Ass does seem like he could take over and Skyscape just looks like he is there for the ride. Gonna be interesting to see what happens to this company and hopefully it isn't rip apart in the courts by greedy family members. Lots of people (not the mma world) didn't like Mask but he never bothered me. I always liked the Tappout show and it gave guys a chance to see up coming talent.

I get the feeling the Mask was the brains, but Punkass ran the show.

I'm sure he had a will and their business almost certainly had clauses for key man absences (death, leaving the company, divorces, etc.). They're dealing with seriuous amounts of money.

Tapout, which grossed just $30,000 in sales in 1999, pushed that number to more than $100 million in 2008 alone.

wow! Their overhead is probably minimal, too. Public record shows them listed as between 50-100 employees. That's crazy.

Sure glad im not this guy. Two time DUI and he is racing under the influence? Maybe he has a lot of doe and got out of those Dui's with little damage. He better have a lot of dough cause he is gonna need it. Wonder if Mask was drinking too

not to throw a wet blanket on the proceedings, but wasn`t this early in the morning?....what are the chances that "mask" was drinking(or something) as well?....

i would guess if they`re prosecuting the other guy, they`d have to do toxicology on "mask"(does he have a name?),too....

imo,i thought the tapout schtick was a tad lame and pandered to the teenage wankers that seem to populate every mma board(and render them unreadable in many cases).......

but,i feel very badly for a guy that seemed to have an awful lot to live for....

terrible tragedy....for anyone...

Talk like this only solidifies my interest in Liddell... i mean he CANT lose this fight.... he just cant. Plus, it's not like Shogun is gonna become a cardio monster in three months. Chuck will absolutely UNLOAD on Shogun when he loses wind.

?I?ve made it very clear to Chuck. Very clear. It?s not about money, it?s not about this, that. Chuck is one of my good friends. Chuck (has) cemented his legacy in the UFC and in the fight game. I?m not even saying if he wins, unless he looks incredibly impressive (in Montreal) - I mean, he?s going to have to go out there and dazzle me, for me to want Chuck to still fight. I love him, and I don?t want to see what I saw in his last fight ever again.?

UFC President Dana White has an interesting take on the future of his good friend ? and perhaps still his biggest draw ? former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell. ?Iceman? got iced bad his last time out, sustaining a vicious knockout courtesy of Rashad Evans at UFC 88: ?Breakthrough? in September 2008. It marked the third loss in four fights for the San Luis Obispo, Calif., resident and the second brutal knockout during that span. He next fights former Pride FC wrecking machine Mauricio ?Shogun? Rua in the co main event at UFC 97: ?Redemption? from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, on April 18. It should be interesting to see how the cool and calm Liddell responds to White turning up the heat while he?s possibly in the twilight of his legendary career. Hmmm ?.
