Also playing:

Bradley -130 vs Bubba Watson

Feel like Bubba is more worried about last year and the Champions dinner and other BS like that than he is about repeating

LA Burns

well Bubba makes the cut on the number and now gets to go out with a marker this morning - meanwhile, K Bradley is in the group directly behind Kevin Na:facepalm:

Round 3 play (6pts):

Fred Couples to beat Angel Cabrera +100 @ Bet365 [available generally]
This is just the 11th time that Cabrera has started the weekend inside the top-5 in the last 5 years, with the exception of events in Argentina. On those ten previous occasions, he has broken 70 in the 3rd round just once and has averaged over 73 in the 3rd round. He does have a good record in The Masters - a winner in 2009 and three other top-10 finishes since 2000 - but Couples has been in better form recently, is also a past Masters Champion (1992), has finished in the top-15 in each of the last three years here and has finished ahead of Cabrera in six of the last years despite Cabrera's win in 2009.

cink -120 vs petterson

cink has hit a lot more greens - petterson eagled the 3rd yesterday from the fairway on a shot that could have gone well off the green otherwise - Cink got hot w/ birdies on 15-18 yesterday and I look for him to continue his solid ball striking today

stenson +100 vs bradley

experience will be a key in this matchup -

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Saturday:

Day(-115) over Furyk
Cabrera(-130) over Leishman
Donald(-130) over Fowler

Jason Day(+500) Win Only
- - I was all set to bet Day(+150) for Top 5 as my biggest wager of the year, before All Hell Done Broke Lose, and they took the wager off the board . . . So now it's a regular wager for the win, which is a different proposition all together . . . Tiger has several hours with counsel (if he needs that long) to make a decision, and strange as it seems, I think he's going to get it right and bow out.

Jason Sobel ‏@JasonSobelGC 3m
"New TV rule is meant for situation such as when ball moves and player doesn't see it. Player ignorance toward rules does not apply here" . . . Faldo saying he should "consider his legacy". (Although Ken Venturi and others are still highly critical of Arnold Palmer's ruling on the 12th hole at Augusta in 1958.) Tiger tried to gain an advantage from applying the rule, and he got it wrong. It is not just the kudos he will get from doing the right thing, it is the opprobrium that will be heaped on him if he does not.

Anyone know the ruling on the donald/woods match from yesterday?

my understanding is that they will not go back and change the signed card and that he will be assigned the penalty on #1 today. he is still listed at -3 on the official board. i do not think they will change it.

they also don't change overturned rulings in other sports, so i do not think they will change this. i think the wager was graded final.

3rd round.. big play

Jason Day -119 vs Freddy Couples.

At JD's ripe age of 25 he has already proven to be a big time performer in the majors. the tougher the track , the more he moves up. I think he can well win this thing.

Reversed my win on DONALD v. WOODS (pass the Tums please).

What do you guys think about Rory v. Tiger at -185. I think this controversy will help Tiger find an extra gear, but Rory scares me.
