didn`t want to get involved in this clusterfuck but theres an interesting aspect looming on the horizon that the nfl is going to have to deal with.....

when they fined and suspended indefinitely this guy don jones for two one word tweets,they had every right to do so(because the league believes that the guy`s public communications and conduct reflect on the league).....I`m ok with that although I would say that the indefinite suspension might be a tad harsh...a sharp fine and an ass chewing(no pun intended) would seem sufficient without putting a fringe player`s career in jeopardy(but that`s just my opinion...it`s not my league)....

still,neither the league(or the ravens) have yet to do anything to ray rice for allegedly knocking his girlfriend out and dragging her ass unconscious around a hotel/casino like a caveman...I believe he`s been charged with domestic assault.....I mean,i understand that there are litigation and charges pending,but, theres video evidence of him dragging her around and dropping her in an elevator doorway apparently unconcerned for her well being.....seems to me like this isn`t going to endear a league that`s trying to expand it`s female fanbase to female fans.......even vick was welcomed back(reprehensible s.o.b. that he is...and I`m not even going to bring the ray lewis issue up).....


if two brief tweets can get a guy an indefinite suspension,rice`s ass should be in a whole helluva lot more trouble than jones.....I`m a ravens fan,but imo,the league and the ravens had better wield a pretty heavy hammer on rice to seem somewhat proportionate........ unless the penalty is more proportionate to the status of the player than the crime.....

Bottom line is it was disgusting to see this kind of behavior on tv, not one heterosexual player in the history of the draft did this dramatic cake on the face thing, I believe it was staged by Disney/ESPN, Roger wanted to make sure Sam was drafted so there would not be a lawsuit brought up against the NFL. Michael Sam is about Michael Sam, a selfish guy that would not have been drafted if he didn't come out as gay, his skills as a linebacker/defensive end are not very good.

I can't understand why Hedge is getting so much shit over this. I would say 75% of the players in the NFL don't want Sam in the locker room. They are afraid to say anything because they will be suspended, fined, or lose endorsements. Just because Hedge wasn't comfortable seeing that on tv doesn't make him a homophobe. I don't think he is wrong not wanting children to see it. Gays should have all the rights as normal people but the bottom line is that isn't normal behavior. Whenever the legal issue of marrying an animal comes up in my state, I?m going to cast my vote proudly in favor of it.
