Won't use this as official play because not much capping involved but a pretty decent hedge still exists for who ever gets there 1st.
Would have put up earlier when Appleby was + 250 but if someone loaded the wagon could have been taken down as "possible" bad line and could have could have caused someone to get short sided if wager was canceled. They have dropped odds a couple of times so don't fear the bad line scenerio.

ABC Island has their current to win odds on Appleby @ +150 and you can hedge field - 105 vs Appleby @ 5 Dimes

Hawaii...

Hawaii...

wish I were there right now - it is about 20 degrees F here in Virginia...

Just a couple of small wagers - all dogs - to peak my interest in the tourney this evening...

1. Couples +115 vs. Maruyama
2. Couples +900 tie [they have shot the same score 3 days in a row]
3. Hoch +300 vs. Woods...
4. Hoch +1000 tie
5. Appleby +160 vs. Singh
6. Appleby +800 tie
7. Clarke +135 vs. Goose
8. Kay +165 vs. Love

All very small plays...probably should bet the tie on Clarke and Kaye too, as a hedge

Good luck and happy links year...
:)

KDog No thoughts on Love as always opposing with Furyk in 72 match currently tied. Hope you didn't get greedy on hedge and left a little for others.;)

SS Where is your wager on Furyk at. Might go get a little myself if still available.

Outrights final update: 1-2; -1.35 units

Furyk 11th
Goosen 4th
Perry 15th

Would have been difficult to beat the impressive Appleby and Singh, but Goosen did have a share of the lead on the 2nd day and Furyk had been very much in contention until double-bogeying the easy par-5 last hole in the 3rd round. Small loss on the outrights, but Goosen does appear to be playing well and could easily be backed again very soon.

Matchups final update: 3-6-0; -12.69 units

Weir/Campbell LOST by 2
Weir/Clarke LOST by 14
Perry/Clarke LOST by 12
Perry/Scott LOST by 8
Couples/Kaye LOST by 4
Sabbatini/Micheel LOST by 6
Triplett/Micheel WON by 7
Goosen/Campbell WON by 10
Singh/Love WON by 10

Ugly start to the year with Perry, in particular, being rather costly this week. It should only get better from this point onwards!

Maru/Kaye loss

Outright Furyk 11th

Matches week 3-6 - 3.85 units ytd same
Outrights -1 unit.

Thought we had these island jinks behind us after last year but appears not so.
Furyk big disappointment leading Tourney in GIR's and putts like Annika. Took wrong position on Adam Scott, will have to this chap MUCH more credit in future. however---
4th rd which I normally like the best was a killer
Woods failed to make normal run and played like shit--pegged Couples 4th rd nemisis correctly as he only beat 2 players in field, unfortunately one was Huston---and had 2 of 5 72 holes home with 3 tightly contested and all 3 folded like tents.
Was nice to to view golf again however--and nice start Warner :)
