Hello one and all, I've been in contact with Jack and the J-bird is ready to rock'n roll and bring back the chubb-in to the best site on the net. "MADJACK'S". I would however like to take a minute and address a few thing's.
I left last Sunday because a few statements were made in a couple of my threads that were personal attacks. I don't have a problem with anyone debating a selection,or a theory I have,but namecalling and cursing at me is another thing altogether.I'm glad to see that it's coming to a halt here at Madjack's. It get's in the way of the solid handicapping that goes on here.
Having said that allow me to give a brief description of my take and analysis on the plays I give here. I'm not a trend and stat capper per say. I watch most every game on tv each week.I do have the help of a few buddies that help me record the games I don't watch. I watch and analyze the way both lines play,watch blocking scheme's,watch the way team's blitz,see which back's know how to pick up a blitz,see who the QB's are that make good decision's when the heat's on,cornerback-wide reciever match-up's ect,ect,ect.That play's the biggest factor in my capping.Some guy's are fantastic trend and stat guy's,Nolan Dalla for one.When I come down on a game based on my alalysis and Nolan like's the same game.(understand we are looking at multiple angles now) It is Hammertime.That's not to say I don't look at stats and Nolan doesn't watch game's but I hope you get my point.That's the biggest reason for the sucess I've had through the years,"You find people's stong suit and then you make your play's based on that.Trust me,it does work.You can have sucess at this game if you know how to take advantage of your information.
I like to address a couple of the specific comment's made when I left. I was trying to make the point in as subtle a way possible that I felt the NFL wanted San Francisco out of the play-off's. After the fiasco at the end of the N Y Giant game the week before,the last thing the NFL wanted was the most powerful media voice in America (New YorK) hammering away at how the Giant's got screwed and as long as San Fransisco was in there,the story wasn't going away.Isn't it funny now that the 49'ers are eliminated,that you don't even hear it mentioned.Do I believe that thing's like that factor into the flag's thrown or not thrown in a game.YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT. My point was to not put any value in the game whatsoever. I still don't believe you should.I know some of you think the Buc's DOMINATED the game,well your entitled to your opinion,but the number's just don't show it.The number's show 100 yards difference in the two team's.If you factor in the yardage lost by San Fran on the sack's it's under 70. Hardly domination.Combine that with the fact that the bulk of San Fran's offense was in the FIRST HALF,not in the second when my detractor's will say"Well Tampa was in a prevent defense".As I said earlier "I watch game's".The way the official's allowed the Buc's to play on the offensive and defensive line's in my opinion was pathetic.They gave Brad Johnson enough time to have a cup of coffee in the backfield the whole first half.I could have stood back there and completed those passes.Especially when 2 defensive back's are out of the game early with injuries.Now that's my take,you cap it the way you chose.But I'm not going to allow emotion's or non-fact's to
change my power rating's on a team.
Someone said they were angry because I said you were "lucky" if you had the winner.Well I stand by that.I think your lucky ANYTIME you win.I consider myself "VERY LUCKY" everytime I win.
I did lose my cool in a thread one day,when I had Iowa St. vs. Boise St. I lost my cool because some of the people who were "LUCKY" enough to have the winner that day were trying to justify the fact that the coach ran up the score.To cover the spread with seconds left on the clock.I still can't believe that anyone would try to make that arguement.But someone did,and still does I guess,because they decided to hammer away at me last week.
As for my record here,Yes, I'll brag, and anyone who had had the kind of sucess I have had is entitled to.Do I think I'm the only one who can cap games here?Quite the contrary.I have alot of resect for several capper's here. Nolan,Volfan,Wizzard,G Money,Time to make Money,Gibber 1,Hellah, just to name a few.There are other's.As far as me needing sympathy as someone said or a tea party in my honor.I don't think so.You can use my play's or you can fade me,that's your choice.But I recommend you choose wisely.
I saved the best for last,One person noted that I was a youngster who had a good 8 weeks and would be starting a tout service.Well,I think that person is selling me a little short on my time.Secondly,I'm no youngster.I'm 41 years old . My father was a Bookie.I was answering the phone taking bet's when I was just a kid.I'm no rookie my friend,I been around a long time.I've been on both ends of that phone brother and I've seen the sharp's and the sucker's.You can take that to the bank.You say I'll start a tout service.Well just put up some odds on that.I want all your worth on it.And to all you Madjackers that is MY LOCK of the century.Get down on that as soon as possible.I will NEVER sell a game.I'm a handicapper.A good one. I have no desire to scream and holler on tv,or phone line.I can't imagine what it would be like to try and recruit sucker's all day to pay for games that He probably didn't cap anyway.It is a different animal.
To the guy's that showed me some love,I appreciate it.I'm proud to be your friend.I will make you one promise.If I see anyone crapping in a good capper's thread.I'm going to call them on it.I think the good guy's around here should stick up for each other.When i first got here there were a few who made joke's at my play's and said they were going to fade me,well I shut them up pretty quick.It does seem like new one's show up and start in on someone for no reason.I wish we could stick together and make some money,and look out for each other.
