Redsfann:

Is there anywhere on the net where we can get a sample of that blues artist you are refering to? I've run across some great blues guitarists in New Orleans (obscure no-names who can play the hell out of the guitar) and am always looking to get more CDs of great acts like the one you described. Please tell us more.

Thanks.

Nolan

I just found some Catfish Keith at audiogalaxy.com This is the music download software that I have had the best use out of lately.

But I don't know what the good songs are. I have not had a chance to listen to the 6 that I downloaded. I'll try and report here.

Jimi Hendrix Experience; as good as it gets

Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble; great Texas Blues

Freddie King and Albert King; two of the best blues guitars ever

Miles, Train, Cannonball, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers, and Jimmy Cobb; on the greatest jazz album or as far as I'm cocerned the best album ever made. "Kind of Blue" These six cats were as good of musicians as this country has ever had or may ever have, and when the cut was made they were all at the top of their games, I can't say enough about this cut it's the best all time. In fact I think I'll go listen to it now.

One of the most overlooked artists and albums from last year, who might be the next 'big thing'..probably not commercially but artistically, was Pete Yorn's 'Musicforthemorningafter'..good stuff.

Glad to see somebody else in here likes Rush!
U2 is my favorite band, but Rush is right up there...
Anyone who even likes Rush a little, must see them live.
I've seen them over a dozen times live and let me tell you it is an awesome experience.
Neil Peart is the best drummer in Rock and they always have an awesome light show...

creed
U2
ja rule
all of the AC\DC
pink floyd
led zep
p.s. Reddsfan they have something like what your talking about on the river, at memphis, it's more rock and roll though. It's called Memphis in May I went last year and loved it. I don't have a web site, but it can't be that hard to find. They have 4 or 5 stages, 1 is for blues and the rest for rock.:moon: shake what yo mama gave ya.

Pete Yorn is very talented. I've seen him twice since he is from Atlanta. He plays here pretty often. He's as good live as he is on CD.
