Although that last playcall is horrible. You're going to ASSUME that your kicker makes a 40 yarder?? How about a 5 or 10 yard out to the sideline? Or even a pass up the middle? They still had a TO left.

I have not been posting too much lately...but seems like there are a lot of posters crying about "THE FIX" lately. Why can't people just accept things for what they are? This is just silly...I just lost another wager...and hear the cries about a fix?

Different teams, different situations, different motivations, different reasons for performing. More reason in college for strange results.

C'mon, guys...take your losses and work harder.

valiant effort by CMU... but i have to question there last drive. 1:10 on the clock on the 20 yard line and you go for the end zone there...... when your defense hasn't stopped a thing all game.. Tough to question that but it was obvious when they left that much time left they would lose the game.:nono:

How do you have a head coaching job in college football if you think running a NO HUDDLE, at your own THREE yard line, when you're UP 7, with less than FOUR minutes to go is the right call? :scared

Seriously, that's absolutely horrible. I would have known that that was terrible playcalling when I was 11 years old.

So explain to me how you could handicap that game. Blowout at halftime and you can't expect them to come back. Just wondering.

I didn't have a bet on this game, but the game sure looked fishy. Sorry to all the Purdue backers, you guys got robbed. And congrats to all the CMU backers, you guys are the luckiest sonovabitches alive! You guys better be damn grateful that I didn't have a bet on CMU because if I did there is NO WAY CMU would have came back in the 2nd half!:mj07:

That was one of the crazier games I've seen in a long time. Like I said earlier, nobody can tell me they thought CMU was a good bet in the 2h after that 1h. That's one of the most lopsided halves I've ever seen.

If Purdue comes out and plays with any intensity/heart/pride in the 2h, they would have won that game by a landslide. Hard to comprehend them laying down like they did. It just doesn't make any sense.

I think if you are tied, you have more of a chance to work that clock down and score w/ no time.....but down a TD like CMU was, you have to grab the score when you can......i do think it was a bad special teams call and play to kick it short like that and give them the ball at the 40.....that was questionable.

I agree w/ your premise, but when you are behind 7, you have to grab that TD when you can......if you're tied, or down 3 even, i would be on board 100% w/ your thought process.

Agreed...I can't believe it happened, but it happens every so often. I'm just tired of people washing away their bad bets with the fix theory. If you spent any time (which I have, in the past) trying to figure out exactly how much it could take to fix SEVERAL games, across different sports, it just gets impossible to explain.

You certainly have individuals on the take which you can't allow for. But if the thought enters you handicapping mentality, then you should just stop betting. It's so easy to blame a loss on "a fix".

Didnt Purdue lay down in the 2nd half the first time they met ? Up 31-0 or 38-0 ( i forget ) won 45-22

College Football sux this season!!!! Damn I have been on the losing side all season long..I do say this was really fishy, even the second half lines were fishy, plus ACC officials. Also, if you don't think that there is any fixing in these games you are a complete and utter idiot. How many CFB and NBA officials getting arrested does it take?
