Agreed...I can't believe it happened, but it happens every so often. I'm just tired of people washing away their bad bets with the fix theory. If you spent any time (which I have, in the past) trying to figure out exactly how much it could take to fix SEVERAL games, across different sports, it just gets impossible to explain.

You certainly have individuals on the take which you can't allow for. But if the thought enters you handicapping mentality, then you should just stop betting. It's so easy to blame a loss on "a fix".

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't think the fix was in. I'm just surprised at how poorly Purdue played in the 2h after looking like the '07 Patriots in the 1h. :142smilie

Didnt Purdue lay down in the 2nd half the first time they met ? Up 31-0 or 38-0 ( i forget ) won 45-22

True, but they still won the game by 23. In this game they had a 21 point lead at half and almost lost outright. But yeah, I guess they kind of set a precedent with that first game, eh?

I agree. Don't think it was fixed but just saying how do you cap a game when they dominate the first half like that. You can't figure in that they don't show up the second half.

Yes, that's right facts are wrong..nobody has been charged or fined for anything the last year or so. Take your head out of your arse. It happens. Did it happen tonight? maybe, maybe not. But the prove is in the pudding.:SIB

I sure am glad I was on the "lucky" side this time. We can ALL remember times where it went against us like this one went for me. I have many many horror stories like I am sure you guys do. Just glad I am on the right side this one... I enjoyed the thread tonight. Thanks for participating in the discussion!

You can't really cap that. If I had CMU +8 tonight (of course I didn't :142smilie ), I can honestly say I would consider that one of the luckiest wins of my betting career. They shouldn't have been within 2 TDs of the spread.

I had CMU and felt very lucky to make money on this game. Keep in mind, betting dogs in bowl games is a proven recipe for success through the years... not every year, but dogs are 5-2 ATS this season!

Nice hit! And I agree, dogs seem to be the way to go in bowl games. Especially big dogs!
