they are just barely getting by in some of these games. i'd be really disappointed if i was a longhorn.
Do you even watch the games being played? The officiating was horrendous in the Nebraska game. The most important pass completion of the night for Simms was taken away by an unbelievably bad call by an out of position official who took a coffee break and almost cost us the game. We went into two of the most hostile stadiums in the country being Manhattan and Lincoln and got the hard fought W. You guys have had your share of struggles this year and narrow escapes so don't act like you've pounded the competition.
I find it funny how everyone seems to overlook Solich's bonehead move of letting the conference?s worst passer attempt a throw like what Jamaal Lord attempted in the last seconds of the game, which was promptly picked off by Nathan Vasher, ending the opportunity for Nebraska to send the game to overtime. Brown is only one of three active coaches to post a win in Lincoln and only Bobby Bowden has multiple wins there. On top of that, Brown has the only two visitor wins in the last 76 games at Lincoln. There are a lot of good coaches who can?t say that. Plus, Texas? twelve game road winning streak, ,which includes wins at Nebraska, K-State, A&M, Tech, and CU is something very few teams can claim. No one seems to be saying how fortunate Oklahoma is to have gotten its two North division toughies at home this season and how it has only had three road games against ranked opponents since 1999. Give Texas a little credit here. They could have easily gone in the tank after the OU loss but they didn't. They're right back in the cusp of being in the hunt for the national championship, something thought virtually impossible merely a week ago. It's still a possible scenario but IMO highly unlikely.
Now, can we get back to capping games in here?
