I am sorry, but the NBA are on the wrong side here. I would suggest that LeBron and Co. do some research before they spout off. Just IMHO guys!

Stay safe Madjackers!

I would suggest they at least spend some energy on helping reduce the violence in Chicago and other large cities.

Doc Rivers complains they are shut out of communities. Wonder if he is referring to his home in Florida, in LA or the gated community in Malibu where he paid 9.5 M for oceanfront home?

I also haven't been an NBA fan, but I do still understand the sentiment. There have been 3 months of protests which have resulted in exactly 0 progress . . . on anything. And so with each new incident frustration grows and there is the sense that more is needed if progress is to be made.

But if they end up resuming play tomorrow - what was the point? You've backed up the playoff schedule by 48 hours and . . . that's it. You've literally accomplished nothing else. That's just "social conscience theatre" then, where you get to pretend like you've done something so you can feel ok about driving back to your mansion in your Maserati.

In that respect, I will give the Lakers and Clippers some credit - they're willing to go to the next level. If all the NBA players walk out and end the season, now you've got something unprecedented that certainly captures everyone's attention. And if they then encourage POC from the other sports to do the same - now you might actually have a movement. Not saying that's what they should do - just saying that if you're going to do something then you should actually DO SOMETHING. Pausing for 36 hours to read prepared statements doesn't accomplish a damn thing.

I hope they cancel the NBA season and withhold the paychecks of all these over paid blat asses. As an NBA player your job is to PLAY basketball not be a politician or an activist, do that on your own time on your own stage. Little Johny from timbuktu doesn't care about who you support as a president or how tough you had it growing up in the projects or the BLM movement for that matter, he wants to watch you play basketball

I got an idea. Why don't they donate one game's salary to rebuilding the MINORITY run businesses which have been burnt down over the pass 6 months.

"0 progress"---- if anything we've taken steps back, more violence and destruction to personal property and business, more innocent people affected....

Government and Law Enforcement have stood down to the protesters/rioters and now they feel empowered to do as they please to whomever they please.....Media showed little to none of the issues happening in the cities they just keep pushing their agenda....Now regular law abiding citizens will/are taking matters into their own hands, they have had enough... I know I'll be protecting my family and business if someone tries to fuck with them....I've worked hard all my life for what I have and I'll be damn if some useless thug tries messing with any of it...

We have people at each others throats playing the blame game, even on this site....Who actually determines when we are all on an even playing field? No one wins here, no matter what is done it's never going to be good enough for some and they will be the loudest keeping shit stirred up....

And to the NBA Players, FUCK YOU....Go put on a Blue Uniform if you really want to make change....:0008
