One is depth. Dallas had so much more depth its not even fair.

9 potential Hall of Famers on the 1992-1993 roster.

POTENTIAL only gets you so far

HOF
1- Brady
2- Moss
3- Harrison
4-Seau

5 Others

6,7,8,9,+10

2 of those 9ers teams..2 dalls..2 steelers..85 bears then this pats team just ahead of the 86 gmen...since 1975 this pats team ranks 8th..not bad...only team in there thats a salarycap era team.

actually the end of the 9ers..dallas runs were salarycap..but it was just implanted and they were way over

First of all Seau & Harrison are on the back on their careers. I am talking in their prime type players.

1. Aikman
2. Emmit
3. Irvin
4. Larry Allen
5. Erik Williams
6. Darren Woodsen
7. Charles Haley
8. Novacek

Please line those boys....Dallas would man handle them. Its not a fair fight though I will admit it. No way in hell would that team w/ at least & all its depth & superstars would fit under the cap.

Dallas had a 2nd team of starters on D that would basically be starters any team in the league.

one of those 49ers teams would be the 94 team with young right? I think the salary cap was introduced that year

91 skins are one of the most underrated great teams......as well

the skinz yes///they were a weird team though, like a salarycap era team.they had alot of diffrent players in those superbowl years...but i think this pats team can hols their own with the skinz,gmen.raiders.

I absolutley hate the 90's Cowboys, so im a little biased.

Aikman or Brady = Brady

Emmitt or ? = Emmitt

Irvin or Moss = Moss

Novacek or Watson = Novacek

Not going to argue Line play, to many variables to look at

Different time , Different era

Thats why i love sports, lets argue

But 18 - 0 isnt bad

i just hate when people think the reg season record makes you the best ever....far from it...the rings and brady hold alot more than 18-0 in a era of parity(chitty teams)...

Guys are you serious? I know it had been a long day :drinky: :drinky: but, cmon. Can you honestly read this thread tomorrow and dont think "Jesus I was actually arguing this topic"? People comparing teams from different decades can only mean that either you are drunk or you are brainless.

The only time I can remember something similar to this happened was when the genius from ESPN said that USC was the best college football team ever, :142smilie :142smilie :142smilie They beat the Nebraska team from god knows what year, The Notre Dame team from I dont remember when, the Flo St, Miami, and all of the greatest champions in college, even they beat a NFL team but they forgot to make a simulation game between the Vince Young Texas team.:mj07: :mj07:

Please stop posting bullshit, you guys are actually trying to make arguments in favor of the 90s dallas, and the 49ers of the 80s, saying things like..

Montana-Brady: My edge goes to Montana
Moss-Rice: even
Dallas Oline-Pats Dline= Pats Dline

:mj07: :mj07:

I swear that you are the reason bookies owners are driving Cadillacs and Benz.

Forget the 90s Cowboys and the 49 ers from the 80s, who do you think will cover the spread between the 2007 Giants and the 2007 Pats?

You can actually use the :

manning-brady
Moss- Burress
etc etc stuff and see if you are right in two weeks.

if stats were the deciding factors,we would all be rich and their would be no books left...anyone whos been watching football for more than 10 years and has a brain could tell you the pats would lose to all 3 of those teams...by more than a td!

Moe, with all due respect, you must know more football than Jimmy Johnson, parcels, Gibbs, ditka etc. etc. etc. that have said openly, Patriots are the best offense they have ever seen. Why didn't Pittsburgh, Dallas, San Francisco go undefeated. They never came close. San Francisco would lose to shit rams teams. And Dallas would always lose divisional games.

Dallas was playing in a division of super bowl contending teams...not 2 very very bad teams and one below average team.
