Have not decided yet, just don't think it is as easy as everyone thinks it is going to be. Tom Brady did lose last year in the playoffs, I know he is great and Coach B is a genius and all but for someone to say they should be favored is just absurd. If NE was favored at Indy who would you take?:mj07: The chargers were the better team last week and yes good teams make there own luck, but the bottom line is this team is no where near as good as past teams

I agree, but after that loss to Miami they have played really well.Go to covers.com good website.

Public money is on indy, just like this forum seems to be on indy.

If pats were favored ,that would be tough, glad there not cause think they might lose.

Being from n.e. ,tom brady etc, yes i just cant bet against as close to a sure thing.

I love how people point to last year's playoff loss to Denver in which the Pats outplayed the Broncos yet were the victims of absolute horrendous calls which pretty much gave the game to Denver (phantom PI call especially) then turn around and say despite beating SD last week they were badly ouyplayed (which I agree with BTW). Can't have it both ways.

I don't see this game being any different than past Pats/Colts playoff games. Notice how every year it;s the Colts time? I remember how everyone was saying all they needed was homefield but they blew that excuse last year so what will they use this time?:nono:

i know you are from NE and might be a little bias but im from Pa and its good to know some people have the ability to remember a game and not just who won. The Pats got absolute robbed by two back breaking momentum twisting calls by officials that turned that game completely around. Of course these back breaking calls were against the betting public like they are 95 percent of the time. To me the only way they could possible lose this game this weekend is if the same thing happens again so watch closely.

New England is going to get tourched in this game, and I mean it could be over by the half.Indy is going to win convincingly. Then all the betting public will annoit them champions and the NFC team will end up winning the Superbowl.Understand I am not a fan of any team, just of football, and I will likely only be playing the total to go over in this game, but I would not be surprised to see Indy lay an emotional,all-out hosing on the big"Pats".Be smart and wait until after the game to flame me,then you won't look like so much of a fan in a sports handicapping forum.GL to all handicappers

You can't be serious that the public is on Indy. Every consensus place I have looked at has New England at at 66%. I know I dont have many posts but I have been around this forum for a long time and I see the biggest snake on this forum on both away teams. I have a system I use and I will be on both home teams.

AR.. the site I was looking at had comparible figures for the Chic. game but opposite for the NE/Indy game. Also has far less wagers, about 3000.

Let me help you guys with something. The majority of wagers are bet 1 hour before the game. If you dont believe me go to vegas and see. You can sit there all week and see a guy go up to the counter once in a while. Then in the last hour the lines will be jam pack. Cesars palace had a line back then (and probably still does)that was a $5000 min and it was 45 deep, and during the week i didn't see one guy go in it and i was in the sportsbook a tremendous amout of time. And please these sports book are not there to help anyone. If your consensus site is from a site without any type of agenda then fine but from a sports book forget it.

Sponge, why do people wait till the last 5 mins. to bet a game when they have had 2 weeks to think about it? Any site that gives a concensus gives an accurate figure on where the public is going,as long as it is more than say 20-30 people. betting against the public in most instances, and I say most, you will be ahead in the long run. Vegas and even the local books don't survive on just the vig. they bet the public will be wrong. Just thinking.

I dont care what kind of system you have.
The betting public is hoping for a pats lose no if ands or buts about it.

More than half the country cant stand the pats, and thats the reason there betting AGAINST them ,and your probably one of them

I'm not going to argue with you. I could really care less what you think. I'll bet what I want and you bet what you want. You say everybody hates the Patriots but imo just as many people hate Manning.

give me a b ball pick this weekend i need it:mj07:

Belichcik and Brady 12-1 in playoffs?Dungy and Manning welllll?Manning has just one touchdown pass versus five interceptions in the 2006 postseason, did not engineer a single touchdown drive in Baltimore last Saturday, and has a sub-par passer rating of 58.3 in this year's playoffs.

The Colts are 0-3 in conference championship games sine 1970?The Patriots are playing in the 4th Championship game in the last 6 years! They are 5-0 in Championship games since the superbowl era and 3-0 with Belichick.

Look for New England to have success on the ground, keeping the ball out of Manning's hands for long stretches.

When the Indianapolis offense is on the field, Manning will be able to do some damage against a New England secondary that is minus Rodney Harrison. But Belichick will throw enough wrinkles at the Colts attack to force Manning into making a major mistake with the game on the line. They know how to win the big games.

Just IMHO Manning is a Dan Marino QB and Brady is a Joe Montana QB?.we know which one is the Lord of the Rings.

morris i said an hour not 5 minutes. Two hours tops. Sure bets get put in during the week but its petty compared to one hour before a game. Look if you can read a line then you can tell what side the books want you to take without looking at consensus sites. I have saw a few times at consensus sites very misleading stuff when in fact i knew nobody was betting a certain side. Im not against consensus sites but if its from a sportsbook i would be very leary. They are not there to help you. Now the site where if you hit 21 in a rowyou can win money doesnt have an agenda so to me that is a more truer site unless its baseball cause most people wouldn't lay that type of jack but when its free money they will.

Sponge not disagreeing with anything you say here. Throw baseball out it doesn't apply. If you go against the public, now I'm not saying all year every game, just take the playoffs in college football this year you hit..college baskets last year it hit. Just something to look at. I've hit gut feeling plays and you have to consider them too. GL. I'm having another beer!!
