Maybe you are content reading threads like 'how horny are you' or strokeathons featuring monk, freak and fatdaddy day after day after day, but don't be surprised when every 3 or 4 months a discussion regarding gambling breaks out. I realize it goes against the grain, but try to live with it.

the above was from your second post in this thread

Nope, didn't say that at all. I said to Neemer that he might be content with those types of posts, but asked him not to be surprised if something gambling related happened every now and then. Are you reading the same thread, or are you projecting?

I am not projecting nor am I being led down a primrose path by you r denials of ever having said anything to provoke onk, Freak or I into picking on poor little you. Let me ask you this ...maybe you are content with insinuations and lies yet are afraid to back them up. Now did I call you a liar? Did I call you yellow bellied coward? NO, but of course I think it is fair to say that all can see the insinuations and inuendos....if you are going to type it , say it, or post it, be man enough to stand by it
on that note I think you are a yellow lying coward that has nothing to add. I post on these threads trying to get a laugh and posting my opinions...you will not find one single post of a naked lady or semi clothed woman with my name attached to it. I don't attack people nor do I post something and call out someone BY NAME, and then say "but I didn't say that exactly" you're a complete idiot......good day dihkhead

Did I see someone call another poster a 'dork'?

Sorry, but the 'D-word' isn't to be used in this forum.

Last year we had an instance where one poster called another poster a dork and the alleged dork came dangerously close to having a heart attack.

Let's try and choose our words a little more carefully around here!!

Welcome back Senor Capper,

And you're right, look what your cats drug in! I see you have evidently encountered the concept of hypocrisy and are trying to use it before you have it fully within your undoubtedly vast intellectual grasp, as are your running mates barfly and kosar. Reasoning with you nitwits is like trying to reason with an agitated dog.

I'm not looking for anyone's stamp of approval here and I don't much care what you think of me. It's pretty sad that you come back in here blindly and start characterizing me while piling on to an already stale quarrel. I'm not quite sure where you started souring on me but I always thought of you as an alright guy. So I guess your quote does hold true...thanks for clearing up my doubts.

The things that you point out about Lem are the same reasons why I am intrigued by his story. What are the statistics? 1% of gamblers are profitable. Lem is one of them without using all the technology that is available to him. You have jackasses like myself that couldn't make two dimes out of a quarter (that's some heavy juice:eek: ), but Lem's making a living still by asking one-legged Johnnie to run the package down to the Stardust for him. What gives? This guy must be a truly gifted individual.

Another thing I would like to see more of is stories from the Poker road. Maybe legendary (or up and coming) players that you meet along your travels. What they go through on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to sustain poker as a career or semi-career.

Anyway, thanks for your efforts.

Suggestions noted, Dawgball. Thanks for the idea.

One interesting point -- one of my best freinds, Washington DC attorney Russell Rosenblum made the final table of the World Series of Poker. Day five, the finals is today. Russell is playing for $2 million in first place prize money, second price $1 million, $600,000 for third place, and so forth. Russell and I used to ride up together every weekend to Atlantic City and play in the poker rooms. Now, he's one the verge of the world championship with $927,000 in chips (leader has $2 million). I'll tell you more about Russell if he wins poker's world championship. Even if he does not win, it's one hell of a story.

That is awesome! I love hearing about personal stories before someone is well-known. Congratulations to your friend on his success.

Isn't the final table televised? If so, where?

I agree with that Nolan & Dawgball. And maybe everyone can just enjoy and let it go at that.
