Ogilvy -115 over Perez.. Hoping the early tee times have an advantage again..

Q. Ball-striking-wise, do you feel like you played too hard or do you feel like you played six or seven --
GEOFF OGILVY: Not six or seven. I hit it pretty well. It's hard to hit it close out there. I played well. I hit it really well. I eagled the first which is a nice way to start. It was playing pretty short for us, it was kind of downwind.
I played really solid on my last nine holes. I could have had a couple birdies, but you can't measure. I could have had 2-under on a perfect day today, who knows. I played well.

Round 2 plays (1pt):

Jeff Quinney to beat Hunter Mahan -105 @ Five Dimes
Mahan has missed his last two cuts this season and on both occasions that he has previously competed in this event. With that history, I'm more confident of Quinney continuing yesterday's good form

Chad Campbell to beat Angel Cabrera -115 @ Five Dimes
Cabrera saved his round yesterday with four birdies to close, but it only his 6th sub-par round in 15 attempts and if he only hits 5 fairways again today, he really shouldn't break par again

Xm guys are sounding like the course is almost unplayable on some of the holes with the wind. Im hoping the winds pick up even more for the afternoon guys, and also the greens get bumpy as well! This is shaping up for a mickelson, choi and scott battle on sunday

Unfortunately it looks like the winds arent really blowing this afternoon, thus the ogilvy bet could be a losing one. :0corn

This is really strange, yesterday the morning group had to have at least a 2 to 3 shot advantage, now it looks like they have an advantage also in the afternoon. Look at the people who finished, then look at the scores today on the course.. like 6 to 7 shots different. Oh well, thats what i get for capping a match based on a meteorologist :cursin:

I violated rule #1.22 in my capping handbook.. Stay far away from Pat Perez, until the final round then fade away.

Scoring was not effected by wind speed varience past 2 days as much as direction--Course plays much tougher with wind from west-- Thursday in pm--friday am.

QuiteSimiliar last year
RD1 71.49 am 72.54 pm
Rd2 71.27 am 70.88 pm

However course playing much yougher in general due to firm conditions for 1st time in years. Will see how much when tour-tips updates inrunning from Pebble Beach to this week :)

It's looking like a mdf for +3's

Dog's im not sure what you are talking about, the wind changed directions every 10 minutes.. I thought it was pretty obvious that the morning then the afternoon guys had a huge advantage, if you read any of the transcripts every player echoed that.
Sure some of the holes play easier with certain wind directions, but the wind wasn't blowing constant in 1 direction

As the forum moderator, may I suggest that you keep such comments to your blog? This is not a forum for self-adulation; such comments only irritate people. If you have a winning record for the week, it will be made available for everyone to see in the 'golf forum recap'. ;)
