I wouldn't bet this game w/ somebody else's money.

Some games you bet, some you watch. This is one of the latter for me. Going to just sit back and enjoy it (while rooting for the Buckeyes).

Also, on tough places to play, had a friend tell me many years ago that playing in Lubbock was like playing in Russia. Strange things happen there. Definately a tough place for a ranked opponent.

Sun likes to judge how tough places are by how OU does there, OU is 5-1 at Tech. Its a different story for how crapy they do at A&M.

I'm not going to go huge on this game either, I just see Ohio State pulling away with a win.

The styles of play in the Big 10 have not prepared Ohio State for a mobile quarterback like Vick and for those who continue to believe that his passing game is lacking are in for a big surprise.

Mike Vick?

VY had a td/int ration of 3/1 playing the school of the blind at home, I'll say he throws at least 3 picks against OSU.

Like the Judge mentioned, Chizik will have the D ready to play. He has proven to be one of the best coordinators in college football over the last several years. It's really a toss-up, but my gut feeling is that Texas takes them down.

Young went 13 of 15 for 173 yards for three touches in one half of play and one of the misses was a dropped pass at the goal line.

Oh yeah Timmy, nice job by your boys against the mighty Horned Frogs.

because the bucks will be keyed on vince young the difference maker in this game will be ramonce taylor....i've been watching this kid since his highschool days and the g.p. has no idea what he is capable of...literally he is like having another vince young either at tailback reciever or wherever mack puts him...

Comparisons are being made between Taylor and Ted Ginn. Freshman running back Jamaal Charles looks impressive as well.

I just noted that out of his 15 pass attempts he threw a pick against one of the worst defenses in this division, but if you think the way OU played against TCU makes a difference in this matchup, good luck, but I wouldn't go that route.

I never said Oklahoma's pitiful preformance made a difference in the Texas/Ohio State game, but since you pointed out that Texas' success last week was against "the school of the blind", I thought it only fair to note how the Sooners fared against TCU, also "at home".

Master of distortion arent you. Oh well, think whatever you want. Maybe you can keep reminding me how wrong I was for thinking Ou would be down this year.

The pick was all on the receiver. I am the last one to defend Young's passing, but that comment is simply disingenuous. All of the incompletes were drops. The Texas receiving corps leaves a great deal to be desired.

I don't know why you thought it would be fair to note that, we're talking about the OSU/TX game this week, which has NOTHING to do with how OU did. While discussing why one team will win over the other, you said that people will be in for a big surprise if they think VY's passing game is lacking. I think he'll throw at least 3 picks to a decent defense after throwing 1 out of 15 passes to a weak defense which in turn could easily lead to points for OSU.

Just trying to help people out on this game, I for one wish TX could beat them so they would be undefeated when we play them, but I don't think its gonna happen.

Sorry, I didn't watch the game, it wasn't on out here or I might have, but I just saw the stats. I guess they don't always tell the whole story.

Do you mean all ONE of the incompletes?

again, the stats could be misleading, but they actually said he went 13-17.

Look for Coach Mack to get schooled by Tressel on the road. Tressel will look like Bob Stoops Saturday night and Coach Mack will tell us how proud he is of his team. Then Coach Mack will tell all you Texas fans that no true Longhorn criticizes his team.

Buckeyes 27 Texas 13

V Young throws for 3 picks and a TD

The only time Texas makes headway on offense is when Coach Mack's plays break down and Vince takes over on athleticism.

At first glance I liked OSU but now I am leaning towards Texas.

Texas has a very athletic team. I am not sure how OSU, a Big 10 team, matches up. We saw how Michigan matched up last year to Texas.

Vince Young runs a 4.4 and the Texas OL is big and mobile. Mobile being key. The DL for Texas averages 300 pounds and they are mobile as well.

I am not sure how OSU matches up with Texas. I know Texas will match up well against OSU. I think Texas D has an easier time stopping OSU O vs OSU D stopping the Texas D. Now I am assuming Young can make some completions throwing the ball. Otherwise he is a worthless player playing QB.

I guess if I was OSU I would stack the line and force Texas to beat you with the pass. Don't let Texas run the ball at all. Make stopping the run priority #1.

If I knew OSU offense would put up pts, I prob. would pound them. But I think OSU is a very poor offensively coached team.

I do know Mack Brown is a horrible game day coach and can't make adjustments. Relies too heavily on talent to win the game. Also is way too conservative and often plays "not" to lose.

All in all, very tough game to cap and I can't wait to watch it and scout maybe USC's future opponent in the Rose Bowl. (provided USC gets there)
