Sat, Aug 28 at (23) Virginia Tech W 24-13 Mediocre team
Sat, Sep 11 Colorado State W 49-0 Terrible Team
Sat, Sep 18 at Brigham Young W 42-10 Even Worse
Sat, Sep 25 at Stanford W 31-28 Lucky to win
Sat, Oct 9 (7) California W 23-17 Good Team(Just like beating Tennessee)
Sat, Oct 16 (21) Arizona State W 45-7 Who had Arizona State beaten? Iowa?

What it amounts to is a solid team in a mediocre conference with a joke of an out of conference schedule just like Auburn, but this high and mighty USC can do no wrong stance is ridiculous.

i wouldnt be so quick to discredit what asu has done this year. they won on the road in oregon and northwestern. that win in oregon was VERY impressive, given the ducks strong home field edge. and northwestern is giving a lot of teams fits this year, especially at home.

and the virginia tech win is starting to look a lot better for usc. theyre 22nd in the country right now and have a solid win over a west virginia team that many feel is a bcs team (im not one of em, but its still a good win, and they dominated that game completely)

as bad as usc's non-conference games were, auburns were amazing;y worse (and thats really saying something). tigers have an impressive win over tennessee, but they needed a last second miracle to beat lsu on their home field, and if not for that- theyd have scored all of 3 points at home.

auburn is good, but i dont even think usc/auburn would be close. if i was usc, i would fear georgia a lot more. but with the dawgs losing, usc wont have to worry about that possibility.

Gman,

I am not suggesting that Auburn is better than USC or that they play a tougher schedule, I just think they are being shorted, especially for OU and USC, whose conferences aren't as good in my opinion as the SEC. I know USC can beat us(they have in 2002 and 2003), but this whole bandwagon for them is a bit silly.

I don't want to sound like a homer, but this is not a tough schedule since you are ragging on Auburn about theirs.

USC SOS ranked #3 in the country!!!
AU SOS ranked #80 in the country!!!

USC beat a top 10 team in the country. Auburn has NOT beaten a top 10 team in the country. AU has beaten 2 ranked opponents while USC has beaten 3 ranked opponents!!!

What it amounts to is a solid team in a mediocre conference with a joke of an out of conference schedule just like Auburn, but this high and mighty USC can do no wrong stance is ridiculous.

I think you need a reality check or maybe you are not a very knowledgeable college football fan.

USC OOC Opponents
AT V-Tech
Colorado St.
AT BYU
ND

AUBURNS OOC Opponents
Louisiana Monroe
The Citadel
Louisiana Tech

:142lmao:

Also, USC has a really tough schedule remaining with 1 team in the top 25 being Notre Dame(who is 24 and not even in their conference).

Well USC just beat 2 top 25 teams back to back, with one of them being ranked in the top 10!!! You also fail to mention Auburn also has 1 team remaining on their schedule ranked in the top 25. USC's remaining schedule is a lot tougher than Auburns remaining schedule.

USC has to play back to back road games against WSU and Oregon St. in cold/bad weather. In addition, USC ends the year in back to back rivalry games with both rivals being solid teams. Not great but not bad. Auburn only plays 4 road games all year and 3 of those road games were against Miss. St., Ole Miss, and Alabama. Tenn. being the only difficult road challenge.

You still think Auburn has a tougher schedule? Still think AU has a tougher remaining schedule? Still impressed by Auburn? If yes to any of those questions, please explain WHY!

USC's biggest challenge would be OU. OU has a passing/running attack. If you are one dimensional, you cannot beat USC. I do not think OU has a better offense than CAL and USC held CAL to 17pts. Could OU stop the USC offense? I do not think so.
